A couple important things to note when traveling to LA are the weather and the traffic. While the weather is temperate during much of the year, summers can be extremely hot for those that come from cooler destinations. Car travel is almost necessary to see all that LA has to offer, but traffic can be extremely congested and made worse by significant amounts of construction. Try to plan your travels around peak traffic times and plan your route out thoroughly before departing. It is also important to remember that cell phone use while driving must be strictly hands-free and this law is heavily enforced. If you do not have a Bluetooth device for your phone pick one up before your trip.
