Making your way to Louis Armstrong Airport
Located 11 miles from downtown New Orleans, this medium-sized airport consists of one terminal building. A long ticketing hall joins four concourses, which are designated A, B, C, and D. There is free WiFi throughout the airport, and you’ll find a pet relief area located beside the short-term parking garage.
Drivers will find plenty of parking options at MSY, though the cheapest option, the credit card lot, will still set you back $10/day. You can take public transport to the airport. The Airport-Downtown Express (E-2) Bus costs $2, and travels between downtown New Orleans and the airport terminal Door 7. The journey takes about 50 minutes, and service may be limited at certain times. Be sure to check the schedule in advance.
