New York Area Airport Information

There are several different terminals that your flight can depart from out of JFK airport. There are wide varieties of restaurants and retail shops to choose from at each terminal. Shop at JFK for sunglasses for the beaches of Cancun. Enjoy some food before your flight at a fast-food spot or sit down for a leisurely meal at a steak house. Terminal 7, where Interjet Airline flights depart from, has fewer restaurants but quite a few shopping opportunities.

La Guardia Airport has four main terminals. Terminal B has restaurants and some shops. JFK also has the free AirTrain to take you to each terminal, also connecting to subways and trains.

Newark airport has 3 terminals with each offering many food options and shops. Get to and around Newark airport via the low-cost AirTrain, making connections from a number of rail lines. Cancun International Airport

Cancun's airport is one of the busiest in the Caribbean, with 3 terminals handling over 21 million passengers a year. Once you arrive on your flight from New York to Cancun you will go through immigration reception and then on to the baggage claim area. You'll find duty free shops, boutiques, drug stores and a variety of food options at the airport.

It's a good idea to book a ride from the airport to your hotel in Cancun before you leave New York. You can reserve a shared shuttle service in advance or take a private taxi or a public bus once you arrive. Some, but not all, Cancun hotels offer free shuttle service from downtown Cancun at the bus terminal to your accommodations. Check with the hotel beforehand to confirm. You may also want to consider renting a car at the airport.
