Making your way to Phoenix Sky Harbor

Regularly included on lists of America’s top 10 busiest airports, Phoenix Sky Harbor is enormous. No reason to worry, though, the three big terminals are all connected by the free, fast SkyTrain people mover. The terminal designations are 2, 3, and 4, as Terminal 1 has been retired and demolished. You’ll find free WiFi throughout PHX, and five “pet parks” for pet relief, but be aware that they can only be accessed before going through security.

The airport is very convenient from downtown Phoenix: just 3 miles outside the city center. If you choose the economy lot, you can catch the SkyTrain directly to your terminal. If you’d like to take public transit, the Metro Light Rail connects directly to the airport, running every 12 to 20 minutes. You also have your choice of public buses, which all connect to the SkyTrain Station at 44th and Washington.
