The capital city of Washington, D.C. is a dynamic metropolitan area on the east coast of the United States.  Situated as an autonomous government designated area apart from any of the 50 states, D.C. is situated between Virginia and Maryland and has its own unique culture.  From dozens of museums to great hotels and amazing restaurants, the capital area has a ton to offer.

 

Flying out of Washington, D.C.

The Washington, D.C. area is serviced by three airports, Baltimore Washington International (BWI), Washington Ronald Reagan (DCA), and Washington Dulles (IAD).  Flights to Las Vegas McCarran are out of BWI on a variety of airlines.  BWI is the busiest of the three D.C. airports and in located in Linthicum, Maryland.  BWI is a focus city for Southwest Airlines, one of the many carriers who fly routes to Las Vegas.
