It will only take you about two minutes to get to this unique space that lies over the crystal clear sea of the Manta house reef. It’s like being on a private floating island, complete with stunning views and a lot of comfort. If staying underwater all the time is too much, you can still sunbathe on the deck. 3. Ithaa Underwater Restaurant at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island
The Maldives is popular with luxury travelers and foodies, and the Conrad Maldives Rangali is a unique experience not to be missed. 4. Subsix at Niyama – Maldives
Nothing is better than a good party after a good meal. It may not be on the same island, but the world’s first underwater hotel club is also in the Maldives. The Subsix is part of the luxurious Niyama resort, but you don’t have to be a guest; it is accessible to anyone. Here you can dance, chill out, and have very chic cocktails while looking into the depths of the Indian Ocean. Dancing beneath the waves never had been so cool! This underwater hotel club is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 pm till late. It is not very luxurious in comparison to the other underwater hotels on this list, but the experience is worth it. Rooms include twin beds and a table in a room almost 10 feet below the surface of the lake with panoramic windows facing all directions. The Utter Inn was created by local artist, Mikael Genberg, and is a very fashionable place to spend a weekend. When you’re not in your room, you can spend some time on the wooden deck sunbathing, admiring your gorgeous natural surroundings, or exploring some nearby islands by boat.
6. Jules’ Undersea Lodge – Key Largo, Florida
Jules’s Undersea Lodge is aptly named after the author of “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea,” Jules Verne, and is the oldest underwater hotel in the world — it was actually a research lab in the 70s before becoming a hotel! However, getting there isn’t exactly easy. It is located 21 feet beneath the surface of the ocean, and if you want to stay here, you need to scuba dive and enter! The research lab is now a very cozy restaurant where you can treat yourself to pizza for dinner. It’s a fun, unique, and historic underwater hotel in the USA.
