We are the world’s travel search engine
Skyscanner is a travel search engine, meaning that we search hundreds of airlines, hotel, car rental and travel agency websites to bring all the options in one place. In other words, we’re a comparison website. We think this makes booking your travel easier, because it helps you find the best deal for you.
We operate according to a strong set of values
We build our own technology
We’ve got some smart engineers working behind the scenes to bring you features that travelers love, like ‘multi-city’ search, ‘everywhere‘ search, ‘Best Time to Book‘, price alerts, user-generated hotel reviews, car filters and much more.
We make money from airlines, hotels & car agencies, NOT from travelers
We make money through a combination of advertising and commission from our partners (airlines, travel agents, hotels, car rentals & OTAs). We’re completely free to use, unbiased and never have hidden fees. You’ll find the same price on our website as you will directly on the airline, hotel or car rental website. Sometimes we even have extra deals for those logged in users. 😉
We’re travelers ourselves
Spread across 10 offices and 3 continents, we know that everyone is different, and every trip is different, too. Sometimes we want the cheapest flight, sometimes the fastest; sometimes we book a minivan to Orlando and sometimes a convertible along the California coast. Filters, quality ratings, reviews… we develop features with you, the traveler, in mind.
We have flights, hotels and cars
Though we started with flights, we connect travelers to hotels and car rentals around the world as well. We pride ourselves on having more direct partnerships with online travel agencies, airlines, hotels and car rental companies than any other travel search website.
We have an all-in-1 travel app
We are super approachable, and love to hear from you
Feedback, problems, or on a long layover and just want to talk? Reach out to us and let us know what’s on your mind. We genuinely review every comment and look over what you love, what doesn’t work for you, and all those great ideas you share.
