Amsterdam Vacations

Not many cities in the world have as many layers as Amsterdam does, with its on-the-surface wild side and its deeper, more sophisticated side, offering plenty of interesting things to do for any type of visitor. As the capital of The Netherlands, Amsterdam is a center for the arts and culture and has a scintillating history that many overlook. ... Read more
Although the Red Light District is vibrant (in its own way), culture vultures seek out the Van Gogh Museum, the Anne Frank House, the Rijksmuseum, (or National Gallery), and the famous canals that form some of the city’s traditional thoroughfares. To experience the city as the locals do, rent a bike and pedal the narrow streets. The restaurant scene is up-and-coming, serving a new wave of Dutch food that has given refreshing new twists to traditional Dutch cuisine. Additionally, international influences have gained stature here and you shouldn’t be surprised to find a good sushi joint or even an Indonesian restaurant. At night, head to one of the many bars or nightclubs, and join in the shenanigans – Amsterdam really knows how to party! The city has a reputation for being wild, given its legal recognition of both the sex and drug trades, but Amsterdam does have some tamer, and equally interesting attractions that draw just as much attention.

trips and family vacations. During Amsterdam’s relatively mild winter when temperatures are in the low 40s (6C), rooms are cheaper and you won’t have to battle the crowds, but it would certainly be a shame to miss the chance to see the flowers in their full glory or bike around the city, another quintessential Amsterdam experience.

I had a great time here! There are wonderful museums! Just be sure to book them online ahead of time as tickets cannot be purchased at the door of the Anne Frank Museum! Amsterdam is very LGBTQ+ friendly and has a great music and night club scene! There are plenty of public parks, canals for boat rides and coffee shops to enjoy what Amsterdam is known best for!

I've always been sedentary but the trip to Amsterdam woke me up. The atmosphere that you breathe is completely of another level and the city is impregnated with wonder and beauty. It's worth a lot!

Es una ciudad como cualquier otra, no tiene gran cantidad de actividades que ofrecer, aburre tras un rato viendo lo mismo, han sabido explotar las tres cosas que les gustan a los turistas y se hace repetitivo.

I had a great time here, visiting for a conference. The venue was a cool art nouveau theatre, and the nightlife was great. I’d love to visit again and get a chance to properly explore.

I absolutely loved this place. The Netherlands are a perfect place to travel if you’re looking for good food, unique bars and an abundance of history. Solo traveler friendly. A large amount of hostels are inexpensive and convient. A popular destination for backpacking especially since their train system is very easy and safe to use. A large majority of people do speak English in case you do not speak other languages. You don’t need a car to get around in the city. A large number of locals don’t own cars, they have bicycles. And lastly , the food. There are large number of restaurants, bars and eatery’s with different and delicious food.

I was really excited when I booked a trip to Amsterdam.
I am a big fan of the history and I think this city has a lot of it.
I rent a bike for just couple of euros and started exploring by myself.
I loved how their houses are so colorful, I loved the beautiful view from the famous canal.
I have visited the Anna's house too, it was extraordinary.
People were nice and kind. It is one of the most wonderful cities in Europe and I would love to live there.
