An absolute must see! The big down side? The crowds...Even with the city pass, you still have to wait in line to get a ticket, so keep that in mind when planning this museum in your trip.

Huge museum of Van Goh’s art and life story. You can learn a lot about his life, friends, and art challenges. Many famous pieces and lesser known works. The museum is a few stories so you could spend a few hours there. Book your ticket ahead of time to avoid lines.

Great museum an absolute must do in Amsterdam. It can get really full during the high season so make sure you plan ahead. I went during spring break and the line went around the block.

What can I say! Beautiful museum and the gift shop is super friendly and affordable. Two separate side so make sure you go to the correct building. So many floors and his life was so treasured by his brother. Whoa is all I could say when I left.

Definitely worth the 17€. Don't know if I'd go again, but there is great history about Van Goh's life. 2.5 hours of a good chill time.

Meet
Vincent

His unrequited loves

The story of Vincent’s love of women is mainly one of setbacks and rejections. There was no shortage of desire or need on his part, but Vincent was never lucky in love. How come it never seemed to work out?

Amazing collection of art & insights of Vincent’s. Crowded. Book tickets with entrance time online as soon as you know what day you want to go. Used their multimedia headset and was very good. Wish less people were inside so more time and closer experience to the pieces could be enjoyed.

The Van Gogh Museum in certainly worth seeing if you're in Amsterdam. The Museum is home to some of the artist's most famous works, and does a beautiful job of illustrating who he was as a human being in addition to showcasing his art. When I visited, the additional exhibition wings were closed which was super disappointing considering the high 17 euro price tag. The huge crowds also got a bit frustrating, but if you're willing to be a little patient they are manageable. Plan at least 4 or 5 hours to see this museum. It's also important to note that tickets to the Van Gogh Museum are sold for entry at particular times. I'd recommend purchasing tickets for early in the morning so that you can take your time seeing everything.
