This museum is absolutely massive. At 30 TL it is one of the more expensive attractions in the city (still relatively cheap if you are coming from Western countries) and you could spend hours here. You’re better off to go in with a strategy to see three or four of the exhibitons and leave, otherwise it gets overwhelming. Then head to the beach down the road.

Certainly one of the best historical museums in Turkey and one of the largest with 14 exhibition halls and an open air gallery.
The line of exhibits starts out with 1940 pieces from around in Antalya and then each consecutive exhibit takes you farther back in time, all the way back to prehistoric (6th millennium B.C.) civilizations that inhabited the Antalya region. The museum is also home to one of the largest collection of Roman god/goddess' statues, most of which come from nearby Perge.

Possibly the finest museum in Turkey. There are lots of exhibits from the Roman era, which have been excavated from the many historic sites in the region. It is located in the Konyalti area of the city, conists of 13 exhibition halls, open-air galleries and gardens, and and is well worth a visit.
