I really like how peaceful it is. It's mainly plants and trees. It probably will take 2-3 hours to stroll through. Lot's of peacocks everywhere it's like they own the place.

What a great and beautiful place to be!! Free parking! Admission is 9 dollars for adults, 6 for student ID. If you're planning to spend your whole day, it should take you about 3-4 hours. Its a really beautiful place, lots of trees, flowers, animals! This is a really good place to just walk around and get some good exercise. My favorite part about this place is the lakes full of ducks!! Ducks were everywhere! Anywhere there was a pond, you'll find ducks floating around!! There's also a really pretty waterfall too which is really popular!

This is one of my favorite pass times. I have a membership and often come here to get away from it all. There are many places to sit and relax and just enjoy the beauty around me , but it also is a lot of fun and there are so many beautiful peacocks all over.

Obviously, the arboretum has an extensive collection of plants and trees to enjoy. It has also been the shooting site for countless films. However, perhaps the most enjoyable experience one can have at the arboretum is to enjoy the summer performances of the California Philharmonic Orchestra in the gardens. With the San Gabriel Mountains as a backdrop and surrounded by the Arboretum's landscape, seating is available at tables or on the lawn. Before the concert gourmet meals are available for purchase or you can bring your own. Many of the orchestra's members are retired first or second chairs from major orchestras who have come to Los Angeles to begin a second career in the film industry. Hence, the California Philharmonic has top tier talent prerforming in a casual setting.

A must visit garden especially if you like Peacock. This garden often been overshadow by the popular Huntington Library which isn't too far from here. I felt this one does got a lot of interesting attraction worth to visit not to mention fraction of the price and a lot less crowded. Located near the Santa Anita Mall.

One of my favorite spots - an enclosed park with huge lawns, waterfalls, peacocks and bunny rabbits roaming around. Not to mention hundreds of types of flowers, plants and trees. Well worth the admission and an excellent picnic spot.

The Arboretum is surprisingly large and a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Bonus: Lots of peacocks wander the grounds and they're not shy about showing off their beautiful feathers.

Really big and broad. Bring SPF sunscreen and a hat as there are big roads/trails that don't have shade cover!

Really love coming here, though during the summer there's not too much relief from the sun. It's a beautiful walk and a huge space, and since it's really not well known, it's never that busy.

I love the arboretum. Acres of plants and public spaces, plus peacocks. Greenhouses are always my favorite parts of botanic gardens, and I love the ones here. There are also lots of native and tropical gardens. One of the other fantastic things about the arboretum is that there are so many people here and so many things going on, apart from the plants and gardens themselves -- from parents playing with their little kids, to wedding photo shoots.

I grew up in the area, so I got used to seeing peacocks all the time, but that is definitely one of the attractions of this garden. This place has a wide range of plant life - even down to a faux rainforest they recreated. Also, there is one part of the garden that was used as the Lagoon in the opening to Gilligan's Island. Many other movies and music videos have also been filmed here. If you have a few hours to spend here, it's well worth it.

If you are looking for a great way to spend a sunny day without all the noise of LA, I would head over to the Arboretum. You can stroll through the gardens and relax by the fountain or the waterfall while enjoying the peace and quiet there is here. The peacocks are free to roam wherever they want, so don't be surprised to encounter some when you get our of your car in the parking lot.
