This place is great to hang out for the day it's exciting to check out the horses up close before they race and then see who wins. Even if you don't bet it's still fun. the only downside is all the cigarette smoke

What an amazing Sunday outing with my friends! Living in LA for my whole life, I failed to miss such a gem. There is so much to see and do - from the amazing brunch with the overlook of the race track to seeing the horses up close and personal, it was a special day for me. The buffet brunch was amazing and one of the best brunches in LA!

A unique day spent here full of thrills, food and up close and personal feeding of the horses. I recommend the restaurant seating for the best views and environment for the races. Tyler was extremely helpful in educating us on how to bet.

We had a fantastic view at the Frontrunner restaurant overlooking the race track and beautiful mountains in the back drop. The service was fantastic. Our favorite dishes were the salmon and shrimp & grits.

We spent a beautiful Sunday here at the Santa Anita Park. First find a good view seating at FrontRunner Restaurant. It has great view for race track and also TV screen showing all the details for racing. And of course the yummy brunch and endless mimosas. Race order machines and windows are everywhere. You won't miss it. You can also take a tour at the horse barn or feed the horses.

First time checking out the race tracks at Santa Anita Park. Had brunch at the Front Runner restaurant and could watch the races from the window seat at the brunch. Brunch was delicious with items you could order from menu and also grab from bar. Will definitely be coming back.

Great way to spend the afternoon on a Sunday. Brunch at the Frontrunner restaurant had delicious desserts (especially the cheesecake and chocolate covered strawberries)! The races were so exciting to see everyone cheer for their favorite horse. I loved the opportunity to see the horses up close before and after their race. I will definitely come back to try feeding them next time.

A hidden gem in So Cal. So much fun. Beautiful views and historic Art Deco architectures on top of some light gambling. Full bar and buffet ain’t too shabby either.

What everyone calls Sunday Funday adding bottomless mimosas is a fantastic day. Tickets waiting at Will Call and the adventure getting upstairs to the skybox. The hostess said the check-in way on the other side of the FrontRunners Restaurant. It’s an open buffet with plates to serve yourself. The dessert display looks delicious made with fresh fruits. We also had Tyler and Amber helped us with information on the races and horses. I think we made excellent choices with their help on how to use the wager machines. We can check our tickets and vouchers with these machines. On the tour we got to see the original chandelier room that has the original chandeliers since the 1930’s. There is a bar for viewing all races from other tracks as well as the day’s races. Thank you Alice and Audrey for having us join you for the day.

Who would have know that we have such a beautiful park in our own backyard! The Santa Anita park hosts horse racing all weekend Long. You can grab brunch at the FrontRunner Restaurant upstairs or be in the heart of the races in the suites or box seats downstairs. They have really informative hosts that teach you able the betting process and screens at every table at the FrontRunner to make sure you don’t miss a single race. My favorite dish at the FrontRunner brunch was the al la carte salmon dish as well as the shrimp and grits. You can also purchase drinks at the bar or enjoy bottomless mimosas during your day at the races. I will definitely be back now that I discovered such a gem of a place!

Wonderful park in the center of town with a huge pool, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, walking paths, a giant fountain, and plenty of areas to picnic.

Went here for the Breeders Cup and what a beautiful place to watch a horse race. I have been going to the track since I was a little kid and mostly at NY tracks. I have also been to all the Triple Crown venues. With all due respect to Saratoga and Churchill, which are both very nice, Santa Anita is just the nicest place to spend the day betting on the horses and having a few drinks. There is something about looking out at the San Gabriel Mountains and local palm trees in 75-80 degree weather and having some fun gambling. I have not been to Del Mar in San Diego (another bucket list item) but I definitely recommend Santa Anita for all horse racing fans or anyone who is looking for a fun adult activity within a short ride of Los Angeles.

When I think about horse racing the first thing that comes to mind is that classical song Overture because it sounds like the stampede of horses. I also imagine everyone dress in early 1900s clothing and looking like Lucy Ball or Mr Peanut.. Don't worry I didn't dress like that but it would have been fun. I always thought horse racing was like Polo and it was only for Millionaires to gamble their wealth. That was pretty much how this event was for me. NOT!! I wish! Just give me another 10 more years to never becoming a millionaire, but we can still dream of the Good Life. Right Kayne?

Free Valet parking! I'm generally not a fan, but hey at this event it made a huge difference compared general parking. I felt like royalty. Although I ain't got no fancy car I still stay fly and ghetto fabulous. I'm used to parking my own car, but I can get use to this.

Beer and Food! You had me at beer. Stop I'm blushing. Having a Pastrami with a Stella on a Sunday afternoon, it doesn't get much better than that. Except maybe the raiders beating the Chargers lead by Phillip "not drew brees" Rivers. Raiders beating the Steelers like always :).

Box seats were awesome! Having a little TV and a great view of the race course while I pretend to know what I was doing. Priceless. I also met some very awesome and passionate Horse Racing fans! Please add me. I could remember everyone's names.

Over this place is freaking awesome and I will definitely come back. I won't let a few bad apples ruin the bunch. I went on a tour and my stuff and other people in our box all got jacked by some random jerk. I think I may have seen who did it, but let's not point fingers. That is low. Show some class random LA peeps.

Santa Anita Park is where 626 Night Market is held every year. Compared to OC Night Market which is held at the OC Fairgrounds, 626 NM is cheaper on parking (free) and admission ($2) with a lot more vendors and food options.

I love coming here to bet on horses! If you're not sure how to bet, just ask or stop by "Racing 101". We learned a lot about betting on horses and ended up winning money!

Having previously visited horse tracks south of the boarder, I must say Santa Anita blows them out of the water in terms of beauty and quality of patronage. Santa Anita Park is a great way to spend a day, leisurely watching the horses race while sipping adult beverages in the stands. Be sure to place your bets and good luck!

Horse races are actually pretty fun to watch. I came here for the first time, and as a beginner, didn't really know how to bet on the horses. But it was actually not that hard to learn. They give you a book and a description of who they think has the better chances of winning for each race, and you can decide from there who you want to bet on. There are different types of bets: wins, exacta, trifecta, etc. Bets start at $1 so it's not that expensive if you're just a beginner. You soon start to get the hang of it and start reading the details of each horse and their statistics carefully. Pretty fun.

To bet, you just go up to one of the cash and bet windows and tell them what you want to do. You can also bet yourself, but you need to buy a voucher, which isn't really worth paying for in my opinion. The betting lines go fast though so you don't really have to wait. There are plenty of windows open.

Alcohol is served here as well. They normally charge an entrance fee as well as parking fee. Valet is available at a higher cost.
