This hotel is stunning right from the moment you arrive on the grounds (which you should most certainly take advantage of and walk the trail). The lobby is grand, with a huge stacked stone fireplace in the middle of a massive window wall looking into the forest. I noticed a beautiful banquet room and meeting room, so groups will likely appreciate utilizing the facility. The rooms are a good size and tidy. But I can't say enough about the hotel grounds. The hotel surrounds a beautiful courtyard with seating and fire pits. There's another stone fireplace on the outside of the building as well. If, for whatever reason, you actually feel the need to leave the hotel, you're close to Emory Village and Decatur, both with unique and hipster stores, cafes, bars, and restaurants. This facility is right in the middle of the city and is in a beautiful part of town, but the prices and vibe will make you forget all urban surroundings.

The complete definition of a green hotel, this property sits on a forest preserve. When you drive up and see all the trees, it’s as if you have found a hidden cottage.

The lobby is grand with a lot of wood accents. When I visited, the club room was closed. Although it looked attractive, the dark color theme seemed very masculine. Also found in the lobby is the gift shop, which looks like a miniature campus bookstore where you can buy Emory paraphernalia.

My favorite hotel amenity is Wisteria Lanes, the bowling alley. This addition was created in the new wing. The décor reflects what you would find in an upscale bowling alley. Unfortunately, the space is only available for those that rent it out.

The rooms are clean and well maintained but nothing fancy. Despite that, the facility is a great place to stay or have your next event.

I was really impressed by the Emory Conference Center. The hotel is pretty large and it's surrounding campus is quite scenic -- lots of beautiful trees, and a patio area. The lobby is so big that I got a bit turned around when I first walked in but I love the rustic decor on the inside.
The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. The room itself wasn't as big of a wow as I was expecting. It was standard and had a nice tv and desk. The bathroom was nice and everything was very clean. This hotel is home to a lot of conventions and such that Emory university hosts. It's also right next door to Emory Point and cool shopping and dining square that has great brunch, lunch and dinner options. There's also a spa. This is a great place for anyone coming in on a conference, business or for a college visit to Emory.

You might feel a little out of place if you visit the Emory Inn without being a part of an event or conference. The center is almost always bustling with some event part of the university or some other gathering. It’s a good thing that the hotel is pretty much built for it – the lobby and meeting areas are massive, with plenty of separate conference rooms and work tables strewn about. Even with the hotel packed out, it’s not that hard to find a quiet place to do some work.

The hotel site is pretty idyllic – once you’re on the hotel grounds it would be easy to believe that you’re not a couple of miles away from downtown Atlanta’s skyscrapers. The hotel is set at the bottom of a hill, and trees and greenery fill your view from pretty much all over the hotel. It’s a very nice, quiet setting in a sometimes loud town.

The problem is that there’s not a whole lot to do right around the hotel – you’d have to do at least a bit of driving to get to anything that’s just a few chain restaurants. It’s a good thing that the hotel has a couple of restaurants built in.

Stayed here for a wedding and thought it was a great hotel. The rooms are clean and plentiful (seriously, this place is huge). The breakfast buffet was a good deal - $13 with made-to-order omlettes, pancakes and waffles. It's not that close to the downtown area, so if you are looking to spend a lot of time there I would opt for a city hotel.

    Great hospitality
