I loved it here! I was only in town for a few days but everyone here made my stay so enjoyable! They are all very helpful no matter what you need. And you have to check out the food at their restaurant! It was absolutely delicious and my waiter was very attentive and helpful. The hotel was one of the most beautiful and historic places I've ever seen and I would Love to go back.

Hotel Ella, located in the heart of the University of Texas district, is the picture of pampering. The staff will make you feel like royalty, but don’t get the idea that this place is stiff and stuffy. Hotel Ella is full of Austin charm. The rooms are chic and polished and, simply put, absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant is famous for its palate-pleasing dishes and the bar is beyond exceptional. Original art lines the hallways and provide those extra little details that go a long way. Frat houses surround the area, but at Hotel Ella you feel like you’re frolicking in your own little world. For those craving a unique and personalized experience, Hotel Ella will definitely satisfy.

The Texas historical landmark Hotel Ella is located blocks from the University of Texas. The hotel is in a house built around 1900 for Thomas Dudley Wooten, one of the founders of the University of Texas and in 2013, under new ownership, the hotel underwent a multi-million dollar renovation. The mansion turned into a hotel features historical Texas décor and artifacts, large wrap around balcony, beautiful seating areas and a restaurant named after the first owner Goodall. Goodall's Kitchen & Bar, located inside Hotel Ella, is a local American bistro with indoor and outdoor dining but the hotel also has The Parlor Bar for hand-crafted cocktails. The rooms are luxurious with high end amenities like specialty bath products, free Wi-Fi, a locally curated minibar and some come with patios overlooking Austin.

If you’re looking for elegance and class, then the Hotel Ella is the place to stay. Located just a tad north of downtown Austin, this impressive hotel features gorgeous, spacious rooms with a ton of natural light. Amenities are plush and include: LED flat-screen tv, a safe, mini bar, vanity mirror, valet laundry, terrby bath sheets, bathrobes, a slew of hair and body products and a free daily newspaper. The rooms feature custom-designed furniture and room service offered by the hotel restaurant Goodall’s. The King rooms feature a granite-topped desk, in addition to all the other amenities. The location is just north, but still Central Austin and you can be downtown in minutes, via a taxi or Uber.

The Mansion at Judge’s Hill is a hotel that truly is a mansion. Located on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the Mansion includes beautifully designed rooms and a restaurant where all meals are sold separately between $10-30/dish. Each room consists of bed(s), a refrigerator, spacious bureaus that hold a flat screen TV against lovely drapery, carpet, and painted walls. There are also matching robes, a hairdryer, and free WIFI in addition to the room. There is no swimming pool or fitness center but one can enjoy free membership with Castle Hill Fitness while staying at the Mansion at Judge’s Hill. One may also request a masseuse as well, not included with the stay but services are offered. And since the Mansion is located on MLK jr. blvd., the Blanton Museum and the IMAX theatre, as well as local and chain restaurants are located walking distances on the street.

I had my family stay here once while they were visiting me. They really enjoyed their stay, and the quaint little rooms. I enjoyed the breakfast, which was worth 5-stars, without hesitation. The location is close to UT Campus, which is fine if you are visiting the university, but isn't convenient to anything downtown if you want to walk.
