The historical centre of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its colonial Portuguese architecture, and the city is known as “Brazil’s capital of happiness” because of its laid back people and pumped up street parties. I never been there, but what I know is: If you want to feel the hearth of Brazil - go to Bahia. And I hope some day to do it :))
