My son loved the pandas, Siberian tigers, lions, Asian elephants and did I mention the pandas? :) Amazing animals and a great atmosphere. We will definitely bring him back as he gets older.

I have mixed feelings about Beijing Zoo, the Pandas were amazing, and really well looked after. But it really felt like some of the other animals were sorely neglected. There was a wolf or a fox that had a concrete slab over it's den so it couldn't hide. This was on a really hot day and you could tell it was suffering. There was also rubbish in the tiger pit.

Really enjoyed my time at the Beijing Zoo. The Pandas were the main attraction for sure but overall the zoo seemed well kept and the animals all seemed happy!

Although My family visited there amidst of winter and during heavy snow, it was nice experience for our toddler. He really loved all those kinds of animals. What I really wanted was some kind of really small car or vehicle you can drive through the zoo while watching the animals which can be hideout for heavy snow.

Animals are suffering here. They live in cement slab cages and have matted fur. Only the pandas are well treated. You’ll need to pay extra to see them (pandas.)

The day I visited, it was extremely crowded because of a holiday weekend. However, that gave an opportunity to see the Chinese families with their children experiencing the zoo. It was fun to see. So many friendly people.

Animals are kept small and harsh gages, there aren't any activities for them. Very distracting place to be...

We went to the zoo particularly to see the panda exhibit. It was very disappointing. The exhibits didn't seem to be well maintained, and there wasn't even any water in the small pools in their areas. This was on a day when the temperature was in the high 90s. We only saw three pandas, and they were all sleeping. I know this isn't easy to control, but perhaps water and fans would help.

If you want to be extremely bummed out and disgusted then by all means come to the Beijing Zoo.
There nothing quite like watching a once gorgeous white tiger pace back and forth in a dirty barren cage filled with trash.
The monkey and giraffe cages only foliage is whats painted on the walls.
What's even more mind boggling is that the zoo itself covers a massive area but the cages are so small.

Lovely green grasses and gardens, over a very large area. Animals kept in small concrete cells. Very disappointed. Left very quickly after arriving!
