Berlin Vacations

Not many cities have gone through as much change as has Berlin. Bombed mercilessly during World War II and then divided into East and West Germany until 1989, Berlin has spent the past couple of decades in rebirth. While filled with almost 1000 years of history, the city is young in countless ways -- modernist buildings, avant garde art galleries, ... Read more
university life and pulsating nightclubs have led to a newly integrated cultural norm. Berlin’s multiple districts each possess their own unique charm and attractions, and summer festivals highlight the city's joie de vivre. For history and culture buffs, visit Museum Island in the central Mitte district, which contains the Alte Nationalgalerie along with the awe inspiring Berlin Dom (Cathedral). The Berlin Wall memorial draws German and international visitors alike. Politicos might enjoy lunch at the Reichstag, Germany's stunning parliamentary building and popular tourist attraction. Many of Berlin's over 200 bars and clubs are regarded as the best in Europe, including rooftop bars, bunker techno clubs and sultry wine lounges. Plentiful hotels mean good deals. Transportation throughout the city is simple, with frequent bus, rail, and subway stops.

world-class museums, art galleries and restaurants, so if you can only travel at this time, it’s not a loss. The best time to visit Germany’s capital is late spring and early fall, which both neatly avoid the high temperatures and crowds of summer, but when temperatures are warm enough to hit the beer gardens and revel in outdoor nightlife and events. Look out for big festivals like Christopher St Day and New Year's, when hotels fill up far in advance.

Berlin is an amazing destination and you must visit if you’re in Europe. Here you can find everything from ancient paintings and sculptures to beautiful modern skyscrapers. Food culture is also exquisite since a lot of migrants come to Berlin, open their restaurants and sell traditional food.

This is a very cool place. I think it's even a good place to live.
I've been there couple of times and I really liked it.
I loved Kudam and Zoologische Garten, I read the book about the girl and her friends who got on a rough path and it all happend in Zoologische, so it was extra fun being there.

Berlin is an undisputably cool city. There's loads of street art, hip bars and the city is full of young creative types. Best of all, it's a lively city that has a lot going on. It's a really good hang out city nowadays. Don't miss walking along the wall and seeing the East Side Gallery.

Berlin is amazing with history and unique nightlife. There is so much to do and see; highly recommend the Stazi prison museum on the outskirts.

One of my favorite cities in the world. An amazingly clean, efficient feeling city. A wonderful mix of modern and old coming together. I was on a jazz club hopping trip and found the most amazing spots in Berlin. Really awesome place!

Beautiful city with big spaces and really interesting museums. Very well organized. A little rainy maybe. Many buildings under construction.

Berlin was a vreat place for historical sightseeing and great nightlife. The city was easy to navigate and the sights where marked well. I suggest to wear comfortable shoes to walk around but there are still plenty of bus tours, if you would rather see the city thst way. The public transport is easy to use as well. After a day of walking the 100 bus will get you to most places in the city and is cheaper then the tour buses.
