its revolving Telecafè are indisputably breathtaking. Construction began in 1965, during the height of the Cold War, and the tower remains one of the most easily visible monuments in Berlin today.

The Fernsehturm (TV Tower) is right next to Alexanderplatz so its incredibly easy to find (especially since it towers over most of the surrounding area). There’s a restaurant at the top with great views of the entire city, but there’s usually lines.

Great view point of Berlin from the tallest building of town. There is also a restaurant on the top.

Great view of Berlin however the lines are lengthy at most and pricey when visiting with a family. But worth it! Just by Alexanderplatz where you 'll find a shopping mall and one of the main train and SBahn stations of Berlin

A classic icon of Berlin, the Fernsehturm (TV tower) is a must-see. After a brief elevator ride up, you get to walk around the perimeter of the ball-shaped observation platform and experience incredible panoramic views of the city. There's also a bar if you want to grab a (mildly overpriced) drink.

Obligatory. A Berlin landmark that you must visit. The actual square its in is underwhelming and there's a Starbucks but you can't visit Berlin without seeing the Fernsehturm.

There's often a queue to get the lift up to the top, but the glass-bottomed views are pretty fantastic.

The best view over Berlin! You may have to wait a "little" bit to go up, therefore I recommend to book a ticket in advance.

The Fernsehturm was built in the late 60s by the DDR government wanting to show its architectural might in the capital city. The tower still maintains its 60s design feel, and is a fantastic place to get a view of the city. Book a table in the revolving restaurant. It's quite expensive, but worth a little splurge - both times I've visited I've booked a late afternoon visit for drinks, coffee and cake.

On sunny and clear days a must for every Berlin traveler! Guaranteed the best views over Berlin, plus you get a subtle touch of the former East Berlin as you step through the entrance hall and ride up the elevator! Don't miss to drink a cup of coffee in the restaurant up there, which is spinning around once every 30 minutes!

A "must" for every visitor to Berlin, a view that exceeds most expectations. The line can be long at times, but it's worth waiting for :)

There's some sort of TV tower in nearly every city, and Berlin is no exception. If you're willing to wait, the tower's observation platform will provide you with some great views of Berlin, but other than that, it's not really anything special, as its layout is similar to that of the Seattle Space Needle. It's got a rotating restaurant, so if you're looking to impress someone, taking them to the highest restaurant in Berlin might not be a bad idea. Even if you're not, though, it's still worth a visit if you're in the area and have time to kill.

In the AlexanderPlatz area, the "TV Tower" is a fun way to see Berlin from above. Try to go when one of the nearby street markets is happening, and hit the market after looking down on it.

Your ticket won't get you to the top straight away, you may have to wait an hour, so wait your turn wandering through the many market stalls in Alexanderplatz
