You may be lucky to enjoy a sporting event while in Helsinki. The swimming pool is open to visitors also. The Finish Sport Museum is also situated inside the stadium.

Not that it isn't worth seeing but there is nothing to do here. You can't get inside for a look and the view from the exterior isn't all that great.

Used for the 1952 games but built a few years prior, Helsinki's Olympic stadium is a good example of Finnish modernist architecture. For a few Euros you can take the elevator to the top of the tower and get a fine view over the city and the stadium. Located a couple km north of the center. Take the tram.

It's Helsinki's pride, Olympic Stadium. 1952 Helsinki Olympic was held here. The stadium is about to get renovated, so people are coming here to collect (buy) the old wooden benches.

An elegant stadium completed in 1938 for the 1940 Olympics, which were cancelled because of World War II. Finally able to use the facility for the 1952 Olympics it is now home to Finland's national football team. As a nice touch, the stadium also houses a hostel,

Very nice arhitecture on the stadium. Interesting is the fact that it was built for the 1940 summer olympics that never took place because of WWII. The olympics were supposed to take place in Tokyo and were moved to Helsiniki

Построенный к Олимпиаде, если не ошибаюсь 1952 года, даже сейчас находится хорошем состоянии. На стадионе есть музей.
