This is my fav prime rib spot in the entire world. I hate that they got rid of the meatballs and potato chips but it’s okay. My standard order is the Jim Brady cut with creamed corn, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms

Lawry's never disappoints. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted. Their prime rib and creamed spinach is amazing. Next time you're looking for a nice restaurant or have a date you're trying to impress, make sure you take them to Lawry's!

Very special place to take a date or important business client. This place has an "old fashioned style"

I've been here (and the Singapore + Las Vegas locations) a handful of times to celebrate special occasions and never have I ever been less than 100% satisfied. The service, food, and ambiance have always been way above par-- it's amazing.

Lawry's is known best for their prime rib and this time around I ordered the beef bowl cut (largest portion size). Their mashed potatoes, corn, and bread pudding compliment the prime rib so well and I always try to make this on my own at home, but it's never as good!

I ordered a mixture of lobster on my plate and a few sides and it was all so perfect that I walked out of their nursing my food baby.

Being a vegetarian I never thought about going to Lawry's, but the day has finally arrived where Vegetarians can now roam freely with the carnivores !

We got word that we were going to celebrate our friend's 1 month Wedding Anniversary ( reception dinner at Lawry's) and I was super excited ! We arrived promptly at 6:30pm and as we waited for the rest of our party to arrive we were filling out tummies with there fresh complimentary chips and meatballs.

When our group of 24 people plopped our booty down finally and was greeted by Ms. Flores ( i really like this traditional vibe, where the servers were dressed in the olden time.)
We were given very detailed instruction of how everything was going to run. I thought everything ran perfectly at what could of easily been a hectic situation with so many people!

I enjoyed my spinning salad that they tossed for us a lotttt, I am not usually a salad person but this was so good i could of eaten two plates! Everyone, as expected ordered what they were known for : The Prime Rib, where they wheel in with a specialty cart.
I got the delicious Ravioli vegetable dish and my man got a side of baked potato which really left me really full!

The chocolate Chocolate cake was scrumptious and I was super pleased with my first time there !

Great place to take your family out for a special occasions. I expected more from the prime rib but overall i thought it was alright. Favorite part of the night was the sides and the salad! But definitely a place to eat at once.

Been here many many times over the past couple of years for birthdays, holidays, and after a local hike.

The only issue I have is that even if you make a reservation, sometimes you'll still have to wait 5-30 minutes. A bit annoying.

The service is always spectacular. The Lawry's prime rib with the creamy spinach, sweet corn, and mash potatoes is always legit!

Lawrys is has always been one of my favorite restaurants to eat at in Los Angeles. To start off Prime Rib is my favorite cut of meat. I can grill a steak deliciously and quite easily at home, thank you Boa Steakhouse but a prime rib is a little bit more tricky. Lawry's has the formula down perfectly, the prime rib is fatty, juicy and tender. I also love the waitresses who have often worked at Lawry's for over 20 years or more and the spinning salad is always a fun treat. Can't wait to eat the creamed corn sides again too!

Came here for the dineLA. Of course I ordered the prime rib which came with the lobster tail . Love the salad dressing on the salad which always comes as the appetizer . The prime rib never disappoints me . The dessert choices on the dinela menue was so so. They have better dessert on the Regurlar menue. I think I got some caramel dessert with ice cream before which was delicious .

Having been here two other occassions, it's been a long time since I've been back.
Per my sister's request, she wanted to come here for her bday dinner. It was perfect timing because it was Dine LA week. We had reservations for 4 at 7pm. It was a busy night, so there was still a little wait after of resi time.

We all started off with the spinning salad, tossed in front of us.
Three of us had the California cut Prime Rib a la cart. With the Dine LA menu, this comes with mash, you may add additional sides for extra cost. My mama had the salmon with season veggies. All generous portions.

Mr. Steward was a good host. He made it special by bringing out a sweet gesture and sang happy birthday to my sister (in the most subtle way without making it such an attention grabber). We appreciate that.

A great evening out to share with my family.

The prime rib is the best around but the service leaves something to be desired. They cram the tables in like sardines and then the waitstaff loudly and rudely complains that diners are in their way. They need smaller waitstaff or to leave wider berths between tables.

This place has the travelzoo special when you book it at open table. It is $39 and you get the Lawrys cut which is the next size up from the California Cut and the size down from the Diamond Cut which is their biggest, it comes with salad and coffee or tea with a dessert. Extra is veggies like creamed corn or creamed spinach for $7 more and you can get half and half. The entree comes with Yorkshire pudding and mashed potatoes. The server is amazing and if you bring your own wine, its $20 for the corkage fee. Will always come back at least once a year.

One of my favorite places for prime rib. I love how they have free meatballs and chips while you wait to be seated. It has an old school vibe and friendly staff.

Lawry's is the rich man's soul food. Their prime rib is superb, their sides are fantastic, and their service is excellent. They serve everything but the salad to you table side from a huge rolling metal cart. Our most recent dining experience was for a Travelzoo exclusive deal for a three-course dinner, which included The Famous Original Spinning Bowl Salad, Lawry’s Cut of roasted prime rib, served with mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, and dessert. A Lavazza coffee or Harney & Sons hot tea is also included. We also made it a surf ‘n’ turf dinner by adding a lobster tail for $12. It was a really good deal, considering all the food you get. I came here with my family to celebrate my mother in law's birthday, and she really enjoyed the food. Also I should note that you can rent out their venue for a private party or wedding! I had a friend who hosted their wedding here, and it was wonderful!

Off the bat, the prime rib is cooked to perffffffection!

Classic Surf and Turf!

Prime rib was delicious - medium rare is best. The prime rib was very tender and fatty. It had enough fat that you could just cut it off and still enjoy other fatty parts =]

The mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly. I just wish I had more gravy to basks in its glory. TIP! DIP THE YORKSHIRE BREAD IN THE MASHED POTATOES!

Paired with Lobster! Do forget to pour the butter over the lobster.

Best Tip, do not over eat on the bread! Enjoy the steak!

Server tried to up sell a lot, if he had just given us free coffee instead of charging 3.75 it would have went straight to the tip. best advice, say something like "oh coffee is usually like 4 dollars but it's on the house for your celebration etc..."

Desserts, we had turtle rock and the trifle! Both were very delicious, the turtle rock was like giant crunch ice cream bar and the trifle is like soft and fluffy strawberry cake. Although it's a little too sweet for my taste.

I went during Dine LA, bill is 98 post tax and 120 post tip.

Valet is 6 dollars, more like 10 because you should tip Valet if you like.

130 for two!

Great date spot, go to lacma lights after =] it's nearby

Lawry's has the best prime rib and side's. I'm a big fan of their Yorkshire pudding, cream of spinach and mashed potatoes. *Oh god, i'm drooling now.*
Make sure you make reservations and try not to get full off the meatballs in the waiting area.

Also, their Thanksgiving dinner is worthy of trying. Make reservations ahead of time. Thank me later :)

This place hasn't change a piece since the 1930s! The chefs and waitstaff still wear the same outfits that they did when Lawry's first opened and they serve prime rib off freshly sliced of a rolling cart! Caesar salads are made table side and you'll leave beyond full. A great spot for a taste of old LA!

Lawry's Prime Rib - Beverly Hills is a Los Angeles Institution and I have enjoyed coming here for the past two decades. The Prime Rib is good, but what I really love their side dishes, especially the creamed corn, which I often make for dinner parties. You can find the recipes for all their dishes on the website.

Came here for a private lunch event today and got to try out their prime rib. First off, I don't know what the hype was. It's not the best prime rib I've eaten, so for the price people normally pay for it, I don't get why they do it. I've eaten better prime rib for like half the normal price here.

I mean, the prime rib was good, but flavoring wasn't all that up there. It was tender, but I can buy better quality meat and make it better myself. Not entirely impressed.
