A basic Best Western hotel that is located near a green line (B line) stop but it's a bit of a trek to get into the city. The rooms are standard, with a nook that has a mini fridge and microwaves (some of the bigger rooms or suites have sinks as well near the fridge area, but the smaller ones don't). All the rooms are accessible from exterior hallways (more like a motel), but there's free wifi, free breakfast, and free parking.

Situated in Brighton on the edge of Boston, this Best Western - as the name implies - is right between Boston College and Boston University. All of the rooms are exterior facing and have parking, although it can get congested. If you're not driving, it's convenient to the B line of the T. They have the options of rooms with one bed, double bedded rooms, or suites. King bedroom suites have a livingroom with pullout couch, so it's very family friendly. In the single king bedroom there was also an armchair, a microwave and fridge, and large flat screen tv. There's free breakfast every morning and you can even grab a free local paper. In the area are plenty of nice restaurants, a Whole Foods, and while they don't have laundry on site there is a laundromat around the corner.

The BW University Hotel is the perfect place for a families on college visits, or parents of students at BU or BC in town to see their kids. It's also not a bad option for Boston tourists since it's pretty close to the greenline and there is ample, FREE parking--a rarity in Boston. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit Boston, but is nervous about driving in the city, as the surrounding streets are pretty easy to navigate. You just have to understand that you're not going to walk out your door and be in the thick of things, and that the city center is about a 25 minute ride away (on a good day). I don't have much to say about the rooms, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I found them to be pretty standard--clean, comfortable and spacious.

This Best Western used to be called the Terrace Inn, but now it's called the University Hotel. That name change makes sense, given its relative proximity to both Boston University and Boston College. The hotel (as well as both universities) is right off the green line, but it's a bit far from the city center. It has a bit of a smoky smell when you walk into the lobby, but the guest rooms feel very clean and comfortably sized. There are lots of "freebies" here too: free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and free parking on site. My only complaint was that all the rooms were only accessible from the outside, which definitely gives it more of a motel lodge feel -- not to mention the fact that there wouldn't be any warm hallways to walk through in the winter.
