the displays and activities are made from eco-friendly and recycled materials. When stomachs start to growl, head to the eateries on site, and before you leave, be sure to stop in at the gift shop so your kids can continue having fun and learning by using keepsakes from the museum at home.

My children loved the museum when they were small and now we bring their children for another generation of loving it! You can spend hours investigating and playing. Wear your comfy shoes for a fun family day

This is a great Children's museum that is right on the water in the heart of downtown. Great family fun day that has been open more then 100 year. Close to restaurants and shops. Make a day of it

I'm 20 years old and I never stopped outgrowing the children's museum. On Fridays after 5 pm, everyone gets in for $1. So it's worth a great adventure if you're not afraid of having fun!

The giant Hood milk bottle out front and the inflatable characters on the roof give you a good idea of how unique this museum will be on the inside! This is a great place for kids to learn, explore, and really just burn off some of that never-ending energy that all kids seem to have!

The munchkin went hog wild here! I mean absolutely insanely hog wild. She was climbing here, she was playing there, she was dancing everywhere. It didnt matter what it was that was here, she was doing it x10!

She pretended to fly a plane, cut my hair, work in a supermarket as a bagger, drive a truck, you name it. If she could do it, she did it. She prepped me meals and cleaned up all the dirty dishes after. She was super into the whole deal!

Pro Tip #1: Its half price an hour before closing...

Beware, that some of the things that are supposed to be here are missing. its obvious when you are doing certain things and the required items just dont seem to exist anywhere. Several of the primary exhibits were also closed which was really a disappointment only to the parents. I think the kids didnt even think twice about it.

Pro Tip #2: No drinks but water inside (boooooooooooo)... there went the large lemonade I had just obtained from Au bon Pain adjacent to the lunchroom =\

Some of the kid items made no sense. For example there is no upper exit for the kids tower climb or how about the rock wall only went up 2 or 3 pegs. Those items need a lil more umph IMHO.

I think the biggest hit with the munchkin was the dance area, which was awesome for the parents and kids alike. It burns off tons of energy while the parents can rest or take photos of their little ones cavorting like whirling dervishes.

Extra Extra Extra, Read all about it: Your kid while acting crazy may be selected to participate in an MIT study with your permission while here. It may be a fun interaction or just a waste of time depending on what your kid thinks about stuff like that.

In summation its a great playzone with some real world applications. Its fun for your child to learn a bit of reality while making believe that they are adults and the ones in charge. These types of venues are always beneficial in the long run as kids ask questions and find out that they may desire new skills. Consequently they may push themselves to succeed in areas that they havent before.

Amazing kids museum, the biggest I have seen so far. They have activities for all ages and you can spend the whole day here and still have a lot to see in your next visit.

I've heard awesome things about the children's museum. Despite not having gone myself, the children I've babysat for have given me rave reviews. For kids, this is a Boston must-see!

If you're visiting Boston with little ones, put the Children's Museum at the top of your to-do list. Kids are guaranteed a good time as they explore the diverse exhibits and learn some new things, too.
