Newbury Street is best characterized by its striking red, brick buildings and its numerous shops. When the sun hits just right, breaking against the Art Nouveau-style towers, the charming street ... Read more
becomes bathed in light. Hip galleries, restaurants, cafes and clothing retailers make the affluent street a place worth spending for the day. Contrasting with Boston’s downtown, this street in Back Bay Fens is both laid-back and cozy.

Newbury Street is one of my favorite places to just walk up and down during the day for lunch and shopping or later at night when just taking in the lovely atmosphere.

Newbury Street is one of Boston's great spots to walk around! There are great restaurants and loads of shopping with a a lot of very expensive shops but is also a big spot to go and watch for celebrity sighting. And if some how you get tired of Newbury. Walk over a street and on one side there is Commonwealth Park and the other is the Prudential! TIP: Sonsi is one of my top restaurants in the city!

Newbury Street has a lot of high end shopping, as well as small restaurants and specialty boutiques. Parking is always a challenge (and very expensive) in this area of Boston, so take the T if you are able.

The best street for upscale shopping! Restaurants on this street aren't always as good as they claim but on the side streets there are some real gems (like Casa Romero).

The shopping street of Boston. Not my style, but it's where we keep all the high-end shops so take a look if that's your thing. Right next to the much more chill Commonwealth Avenue if you just want a nice walk.

Newbury Street is Boston's bullseye for shopping. Whether on the strip itself or on the surrounding blocks, you're sure to find nearly every big name in casual or luxury retail nestled in around Newbury. Salons, galleries, cafes and restaurants fill in the gaps between boutiques. If you're looking for a place to be fancy for the afternoon, look no further.

Really, the fifth avenue of Boston. All along the street, is filled with high end shops, even some of the rare European and Japanese brands that cannot be easily found in the rest of US, excellent spot for browsing the latest fashion. Secondary to the fashion scene, there are also plenty of classy food choices here.

What does Newbury Street have in common with 5th Ave in Manhattan and the Magnificent Mile in Chicago? Prestige shopping! From H & M to Juicy Couture, true shopaholics will find whatever their heart and debit/credit card yearn for on this street.
