Great brewery tour. Friendly staff and great beer. Don't miss this if in the area. Don't forget to take the party bus to Doyle's.

Great tour even if you don't like beer. Learned a lot about the beer making process. There is even root beer available during the tasting.

This tour is amazing! You will know everything about beer after that, they explain all the process of how they fabricate the beer and in the end of the tour you can taste many types of their beer, and the best, for free!

This is a fun brewery to Visit! You learn a lot about the process and then get to sample a few beers, followed by a visit to the shop for some awesome Sam Adams Gear and Growlers :) tour is free but they do ask for a donation to a local charity and you get to keep the tasting glass!

So much fun and very informative! The only fee is a recommended $2 per person and we got about 28 oz of beer samples and a souvenir glass at the end of the tour! Definitely worth it and the money goes to local charities!

Unbeatable price to fun ratio. The tour is free, meaning infinite fun. At the end of the tour, they let you try some of the beers. People under 21 can come for the tour, but have to sit by and watch, excluded from the fun? After dumping you in the gift shop, because America and beer, there's a party bus that drives you down the street to one of the few pubs in town where you can get a taste of Boston Brick Red. They don't brew in large quantities at this location, but rather use the small, original brewery to try out new, experimental brews.

Yes, OK, so Sam Adams is a huge production now, not quite a "micro" brewery. Still, this is the brewery that kind of started it all for the rest of the craft breweries. Plus, they offer free tours and free tastings! How can you not like free beer? It does get busy so you have to go early to sign up for the tours first. They're pretty generous with the free tasting, though, and they also do a free flight on Wednesday nights, where you can design your own beer flight! Did I mention free beer?

This brewery tour was great. They take you through the process of making the beer and at the end you get a couple tasters and can keep the taster cup. There is a bus that will take you to a local restaurant after if you want, where you can order a Sam Adams beer and keep the glass, since it is specifically made for their beers.

Go for a free tour of the Sam Adams brewery!

They'll even take you into their beer hall and pass free pitchers of beer down the long tables. Kids are allowed on the tour, so try to snag a table with the kiddos, so you can get more beer. :) Kids are given soda and pretzels. They'll also give you a free mini beer glass to take home, but be careful; they're really thin, so both of ours broke in our checked luggage during our flight home, despite being wrapped well in our clothes.

This tour is super fun, and then you can take the free, fun party trolley over to this local neighborhood bar. If you buy a Sam Adams pint, they'll give you a free San Adams glass. This glass is the real deal and did not break in our luggage.

This is a great tour, with plenty of samples passed around at the end. Keep an eye out on the tour, you might see some of the brewers from the recent tv commercials. The brewery also offers a free shuttle to a nearby pub on certain days.

The tour guides at Sam Adams are the best - funny, knowledgeable, know their beer, and tell you about their beer in a timely fashion so you can get to the best part, the tasting. You also get to taste and smell the raw hops, which makes it a very hands-on experience.

The tastings are held in a separate room with long wooden tables, and you usually get to taste around 5 or 6 different kinds. If you're lucky, they may test out a new beer on you, leaving you feeling oh-so-special (and, often, a little buzzed). Bonus point: you get to keep your glass.

The Sam Adams Brewery Tour and tasting is the perfect thing to do with visitors from out of town. It's incredibly Bostony, the tour guides a clever and fun, and the tasting is pretty solid--especially when you consider the fact that tours are technically free, with a $2 suggested donation (which actually goes to charity). The only thing I will say is that it can get pretty crowded on the weekends, so it's best to go earlier--that is if you don't mind getting a buzz at 10 am.

Free tasting and a good tour at Samuel Adams Brewery Company. It's convenient located near the "T" (subway) and fun. Lots of pictures taken and plenty of tasting...you also get to meet fellow beer lovers along the tour.

The tour takes about an hour and it's definitely something to do when you're in Boston. All indoors and perfect for a rainy day.

I’ve been around and taken a lot of brewery tours and I have to say that out of all of them, the Sam Adams Brewery Tour is my absolute favorite. Every tour guide is fluent in the art of beer brewing and has a full understanding of the company and its history. Not only is the tour entertaining and education, but they also serve the most samples of any tour I’ve ever been on. But we don’t drink for the sake of drinking! The tour guides explain proper beer sampling techniques as well as talk about the inspiration behind each recipe that is served.

The brewery also works in conjunction with Doyle’s Cafe, the restaurant down the street. On select days, the Doyle's trolley makes runs between the brewery and the restaurant, taking tipsy guests safely for a bite to eat. The best part: order a Sam Adams beer and you’ll be able to take the “Perfect Pint” Sam Adams glass home for free!
