Not safe . Calling 112 in Romania it's take for emergency services to attend long time !!! If you don't know the location where you are it's impossible for them to find you.
Literally one of the worst places I've been in my entire life. Run down, dirty, poverty stricken, literally falling to pieces. a tragic waste of time and money. awful food, and awful attitudes from people, terrible accommodation. I cannot talk poorly enough about this city. zero stars, if it were possible.

Bucharest is an interesting city, a crossroads of many empires which ruled here before to post war communism to modern day revolution. French architecture, Slavic food, Gypsy culture, Ceausescu's communism, and don't forget Vlad the Impaler.

#Bucharest exceeded my expectations in every way! An amazing destination that was interesting, historical and absolutely someplace I would return to!

Interesting and very walkable city. Don't miss strolling in the parks , People's Palace or the pedestrian shopping area. Very reasonable prices. Actually cheap city. Enjoy!

The capital of Romania. Had a lot of interesting places to visit. Museum, clubs, restaurants, monuments, churches, etc.

The contrasts in Bucharest are amazing. It has many hidden jems, you just need to look for them.

Among European capitals, Bucharest has not recovered quite as well from the 20th Century. There are still large sections that were demolished by the communists and never rebuilt. There are also many very poor neighborhoods. However, there are a number of good reasons to see the city. The Parliament Building is the largest office building in Europe. There are many tiny, dark yet fascinating Orthodox and Catholic Churches. The Museum of the Romanian Peasant is one of the best museums in Europe and includes a small wooden chapel imported from Transylvania.

Truly a lovely city when you get out of the train station, Bucharest is filled with contradictions, history, beauty, and great night life!

At the turn of the 20 century, Bucharest was often called the Paris of the Balkans, and it is still possible to see why, at least in part - the broad, tree-lined avenues and the buildings designed by French Beaux-Arts architects make Bucharest one of the handsomest cities in Eastern Europe.
