One of the easiest and cheapest things to do in the city, just stroll along the Danube. It's a beautiful city and best appreciated from the river.

One of the best - and cheapest! - things you can do in beautiful Budapest is take a walk along the Promenade. This is on the Pest side of the Danube River, and spans the length between the Chain bridge and the Elizabeth Bridge. You can enjoy views of all the city's highlights like Buda Castle, the Citadel and Gellert Hill - just gorgeous.
