I was absolutely charmed by this place as well as the woman who runs it, who was happy to bust out her French when she learned I spoke the language. The whole vibe was incredibly familiar, which makes sense considering the posada also functions as an apartment for some of the guests (generally students and young workers) who stay on for a few weeks or months. The posada includes a kitchen, living room containing a television and piano, and outdoor terrace and grill. My favorite feature, however, was the element that gives the hotel its name: the “sala luna”, a circular room with an enormous view onto the sky. I can’t imagine a lovelier way to fall asleep: comfortably lying in bed while gazing onto the night sky. Guests are welcome to a continental breakfast of medialunas and tostadas, which can be eaten at a communal table in the living room.

This is just a basic bed and breakfast, with everything you need, and in the heart of San Telmo-Bueno Aires' bohemian neighborhood. It's not very extraordinary or personalized, but the staff makes you have exactly what you need. This is a good place for people who want a bit more privacy and space than a hostel and who don't care about having a fancy place to sleep. There are nice plants in the hallway and a kitchen with a grill, as well as a washer and dryer. Breakfast is included, and there's a large room for up to five people which the receptionist told me sometimes families sleep in.

It was very pretty, but the staff were not very informative or helpful about where to go and what to do. Each room in the house had its own character and I loved this aspect. I found myself taking interest in all the little knick-knacks in the rooms, as there were a lot of ornaments and singular pieces of furniture. There wasn’t a dormitory, but there was a room which could sleep up to five people. It was huge and looked out over the patio area. It was great to see both a washing machine and a dryer in the communal kitchen. I also loved the family pictures of the children on the walls in the lounge. I thought it made everything a lot cozier, but all in all, it was still just a place to sleep… I wasn’t offered a lot of personalised help or advice in any way.

Didn't actually get to see inside of this hotel as the door bell didn't seem to work. I stood there for a good while ringing and ringing until someone said something unintelligible through the intercom, so I moved on. My advice is to not arrive here at night in case this happens to you. The guesthouse is located in central San Telmo, which is an area that's full of character and brimming with things to see and do. However, do be careful at night though as this street can be a little sketchy and tourist can attract a lot of attention. You don't want to be stranded on the doorstep with your rucksack whilst they fix the doorbell! I'd recommend staying in one the many nearby hostels instead.
From the outside it did look pretty dodgy too.

This place looked really beautiful and lovely, but when we arrived at the door, we rang and rang the bell for 10-15 minutes and got no answer. Finally a man said something quickly on the intercom that we didn't catch (we speak fluent Spanish, but it was hurried and the intercom was fuzzy), but it was clear they were not coming to the door. We got no response to our questions and bell ringing, even though we stayed and rang the bell another few minutes, so in the end we left. Too bad though, it looked nice from what we could see through the keyhole!
