The Waldorf Hotel is very basic. It's in a really good location for business people who need quick access to Microcentro. Breakfast is included with your stay, but the rest of the time the breakfast room is kept dark. Wifi is free only 20 minutes per day in your room, and available all day in the lobby. This is a bit annoying if you have work to do and require privacy, and I prefer places that have wifi included in a bedroom. The rooms themselves are quite clean, but again, they're really a place to sleep and don't offer much of an experience. I really only recommend the place if you're not looking for something fancy, but even then there are nicer places in Buenos Aires with more amenities for a similar price.

The main advantage of this hotel is its location. At a five-minute’s walk from Microcentro and its bustling Florida Street and a mere 15-minute walk from the Casa Rosada, it provides easy access to Retiro, Recoleta, and Palermo, all elegant and safe neighborhoods reputed for their fine dining, high-end boutiques, and art galleries. Otherwise, the hotel itself left much to be desired. The rooms were pretty small and not particularly cozy, and there was no restaurant (there were a few cool looking restaurants near the hotel, namely Buller Brewing Co. next door and Irifune, a sushi bar, and El Establo, a parilla, further up the street). To be fair, a continental breakfast is included, so you can fill up on that (it’s buffet style), but besides that, there isn’t much to recommend.

I wasn’t that impressed by the Waldorf. The staff were pleasant and the restaurant, where breakfast was served, was clean, but the hotel lacked character. It was a basic place to stay, which was charging a lot of money for being a basic place to stay. It would probably suit business travelers or anyone who needed to stay in a central location just for a night or two on a particular errand, but there are a lot of hotels in Buenos Aires with lots more character and which charge less per night for their services than the Waldorf. It didn’t even have a pool and at the prices it was charging, I was expecting there to be one.

The Waldorf Hotel (don’t be fooled by the name) is a basic, simple hotel that has all you need for a short stay in BA. I don’t think it personally deserves the three-star status as the place was a bit run down and certainly lacking on the facility side of things. The flags flying outside seem a little over the top when you walk past reception and see the state of things: shabby, cheap furniture and cobwebs. .
It’s not a bad hotel and would be great for people looking for good service and a more economical price. If you want to get up and go in the mornings and just use the place for sleeping then it’s a good option. The rooms are cramped but at least the bathrooms have bathtubs.
The staff were sweet and helpful so no complaints there.

When I heard the name “The Waldorf,” I was expecting something fancy and nice, but they must have just taken the same name. It is a fine, if somewhat humble hotel in the center, but I put off after expecting a Waldorf hotel. The staff was polite, and the main part of the lobby looked nice, but the sitting area was grubby- the furniture had snags and the corners had dust bunnies and stains. The room was clean but pretty small for a double- if you were 2 people with 1 suitcase each, it would be tight. The bathroom was nice and had bathtub, which was a plus. The restaurant was large, but only serves breakfast in the morning and coffee in the afternoon, no other food. No gym, pool, or other amenities in the hotel. The hallway and elevator looked pretty beat-up,. Not really the best value for what you're getting, definitely not 3 star hotel quality.
