Forget Hollywood! Burbank is where the magic happens. This L.A. suburb is home to Disney and other studios and the only place to go if you want to catch a live taping of Jay Leno’s Tonight Show or be part of Ellen's audience. You can explore NBC and Warner Bros. studios, possibly running into a celebrity or three. After a full day of visiting the ... Read more

Santa Ana winds. Headed to the beach? Don't go in June when the 'June Gloom' makes the beaches cold and foggy for most of the morning. The coast is always a bit cooler than inland (head to Santa Monica and not Hollywood if you want a breeze). Whatever time of year you go, however, you can leave your down coat at home.

The most adorable spot off the main street. Great cofee, great service and adorable ambience. The tables indoors are cross section tree trunks with art work on the wall very simple and clean. I love it! and there's an outdoor patio too. Very pet Friendly they have dog treats! And they sell vegan cookies too. Something for everyone!

Just on the border of the San Fernando Valley, Burbank is home to the Walt Disney Studios (amongst others), Portos, and quite a cute downtown area. Although not a must-visit for tourists (unless looking to do a studio tour of WB or Disney), it's home to some great food and local outdoor parks and hikes.

I traveled to LA landing at Bob Hope Airport. I took the train from Burbank-Bob Hope Airport Station to Union Station. My experience in Burbank was pleasant however brief.

Burbank is where you want to be. It is the Mr. Clean vs the Dirty Hollywood. Hollywood does have its perks; the walk of fame, Paramount Studios, and other iconic locales. Burbank has the Warner Brother's Lot, Disney Studios, and sits right next to Universal Studios. Not to mention it has the world's best Taco Bell (right across from Warner Brothers and with outdoor seating, gives a great view of the famous WB water tower). The streets are clean and you will find great places for coffee (Priscilla's), Burgers (Bob's Big Boys), and Tacos (Poquito Mas). If you want to visit downtown Hollywood for the afternoon or evening, it's just a just a few miles away on the 101. Downtown Burbank is also pretty sweet.
