Love seafood? There’s no way you’re going to miss your chance of visiting this famous fish market. On our visit to Busan, we dropped by this market, and were surprised and amazed by its insane number of fresh seafood. And with its relatively affordable rates, we indulged on array of sumptuous seafood treats here, including sashimi, steamed lobsters, scallops, tigershrimp and octopus.

Very touristy but good place to try fresh seafood in Busan or to simply watch the life of the locals.

Killing time and being touristy on the weekend of a business trip. I took the subway from Haeundae Beach to the fish market and really enjoyed the day. I’ve done this on a few occasions and it has yet to get old.

One distinctive place to visit for people who especially loves seafood and the other product of the sea. Come to Jagalchi for having the delicious seafood dishes and also enjoying the lively activities of the market.

Some of the best seafood in the country and so many options. You can go into the live market and choose something out of the tank. The fish monger will pull it out of the water and prepare it raw for you. You then enjoy it sitting right in front of tanks at the counter. They'll serve some kimchi and a few other small sides, but otherwise it's all about the fish. The other option is to walk along the outside of the market and choose one of the restaurants where you can have grilled or fried fish, soups, rice and lots of sides. I opted for the latter and really enjoyed the grilled fish - so buttery and soft. Lots of great sides. Be sure to haggle for the price, they always start high.

Busan Fish Market is home to 4,000 jobs in the local area. Thousands of elderly women work stalls and have been working since their husbands have left for the Korean War.

This a large inside and outside fish market. The variety and types of sea creatures boggles the mind - what is that? We also saw a auction which actually is kind of boring - hard to tell what is going on. Lots of vendors and restaurants in the area.

We went to the second floor and found a food stand/restaurant to make a wonderful fresh seafood stew for lunch. Pretty reasonable.

One of the must visit places in Busan, Korea! Jagalchi Fish Market has everything about seafood life in Busan. It's hard not to surprise by what the venders sell! If you like seafood, this is the best place to get seafood dinner as well. Raw, grilled, soup, stir fried... everything is available. But be careful, check the price before you sit down.

Korea's most colorful fish market, the sprawling lanes and stalls of Jagalchi may smell pretty bad, but if it swims and is even remotely edible, you'll find it here. Buy a fish and have it cooked to order in the 2nd-floor restaurants, or else simply buy a fried or grilled fish from the stalls at the far end of the lanes.

The only thing I semi enjoyed in Busan. The men will come up to and hold a dead or live fish. They will laugh at your reaction. It's interesting to see how they shop for food.

The Jagalchi Fish Market is said to be the country's largest. At the least, it does have much more variety in sea creatures than the Noryangjin Fish Market near Seoul. Interesting to walk through.

What a fantastic stop to see the freshest seafood being offered. From the familiar to the uniquely Busan, the variety of fish, shellfish, and sea creatures on offer...as food is amazing here. The second floor food hall is made up of many individually owned stalls that offer fresh sashimi with Korean flair. We had a great time exploring the seafood types and enjoying the freshly prepared seafood here!

Do not leave without at least walking through this huge, outdoor, "world famous" fish market! You'll see some very interesting people and their odd wares!

I think that it is a place I can not remove if I go to Busan for the first time. The Kamata market near the west side was more local, but here I am used to tourists much, and there are also cafes with atmosphere that makes it easy to enter not only fish. However, when I am accustomed to living in Japan, fish lined up outdoors have a sense of travel but it was hard to say "it looks yummy! Fresh!" ...
