Tea Party and American Revolution. They serve New England style fare, and my meal consisted of a warm Connecticut lobster roll (buttery goodness that's to die for), bacon-wrapped scallops (served with Napa slaw and pineapple that make them impossibly better), pretzel bites with mustard and jalapeño cheese, and a cast iron s'more that gave new meaning to the campfire favorite. Plus they have an impressive list of beer and wine - try the Delirium Tremens, a Belgian strong ale with a delicious and complex flavor - all housed in an intimate dining room or rowdy, cavernous tavern.

Came for lunch with my co-workers. I know I definitely need to come back and do happy hour! Whatever you do, have a cup of the butternut squad soup! Creamy yumminess for sure! The ceiling is high so conversations echo, keep that in mind.

The green dragon tavern and museum in Carlsbad serves up a great happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 PM. They offer discounted drinks on their craft beers and fine wines and discounts on their tasty and memorable appetizers such as these crispy brussels sprouts! Yum!

Incredible restaurant! The atmosphere was wonderful and incorporated a lot of early American history into their design. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals and appetizers. We got a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, the braised short rib with rice and peas, calm chowder, and pretzel bites. All of it was delicious and we would love to go again if we were to come back to the area!

The Green Dragon Tavern is both a restaurant and a museum of Revolutionary War history. The bar and food are good; the diverse menu has something for everyone. Take a trip back in time here.

Cool concept - a museum attached to a restaurant. At least you won't say dinner was boring! The New England bar/pub style food is good, but nothing crazy to write home about. My favorites include the lobster roll, short rib burger, and the bbq flatbread. And don't leave without trying their pretzel bites. Yum. Lots of parking, nice staff, reasonable prices. Worth a visit!

In Carlsbad off Palomar airport road, A replica of Boston's original, demolished in 1854 where Sam Adams, Paul Revere and other founders met in secret to plan the Boston tea party and the American Revolution. The museum is free. The tavern and dining area are beautiful they have large rooms for private parties and weddings and reunions.

Discover Carlsbad’s hidden gem: The Green Dragon Tavern & Museum just off I-5 at Palomar Airport Road. An ingenious fusion of exceptional East meets West Coast food and history, this place offers a plethora of delights for both adults and kids alike. There’s a formal dining room and informal bar area all decorated with historical imagery. The original Green Dragon Tavern in Boston served as the meeting place for our nation’s forefathers who launched the American Revolutionary War achieving freedom and independence for our current society. The modern Carlsbad version emulates this concept by sporting the dragon emblem and bringing community together over nourishing meals and educational efforts. The museum focuses on American Revolutionary History and features an impressive collection of period artifacts such as an authentic John Hancock signature and antique dueling rifles. There’s a coffeehouse and bookstore offering children’s history-related books and gifts. There’s also massive event space complete with a private bar and ample parking.

Chef Gregory Krol hails from the four diamond luxury Hotel Providence and brings East coast sophistication to the North County dining scene. The Fried Brussels with candied bacon, dried cranberries and pecans are evil good. The creamy New England Clam Chowder is heavenly. The Lobster Roll available three ways —traditional, chilled and California style– is hands down the best in the county. And be sure to save room for dessert because it’s a tough decision between the luscious Flourless Chocolate Cake and decadent Creme Brûlée. Finally, the Green Dragon offers daily Happy hour specials and a fantastic brunch.

We had a very enjoyable dinner here with an attentive waiter. Fish & Chips were great, as well as the Shepherd's Pie. They have an amazing selection of beers, and the waiter talked me into trying the Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout with a scoop of ice cream in it. Yep, it was a beer float! Actually, it was pretty good and then I topped it off with the s'mores skillet for dessert. We waddled into the museum afterwords and were a little underwhelmed, but it might have been due to our food coma.

Stop by for dinner recently after a movie. The staff was very friendly and helpful even though we did not have a reservation. My husband and I tried the house Sangaria it was especially good using blueberries, strawberries and blackberries in the wine. I had the lobester roll opting for the Conneticut style served warm with drawn butter is was excellent and look forward to trying the other two lobster roll on another visit. Daughter had the Duck Confit macaroni and cheese it was filled with large chunks of duck and they were able to make it with no onions or mushrooms which was a plus as she does not like either. Since it was made to order you know it was fresh and they were able to adapt the dish to her likes an dislikes. The hand apple pie was fresh and oozing with apples and cinnamon. Will go back real soon and check out the brunch on Sunday and the museum.
