It’s the most traditional bazaar in the city where you can admire many handcraft workshops, artworks, ceramic pots, paintings. It’s the ideal place to buy souvenirs and the perfect place to admire many elements of Moroccan architecture such as traditional fountains, arcade streets etc.

While this is more of a market geared towards tourists, some people feel more comfortable going here and not going through the bargaining process that is typical at Moroccan markets. It's still worth it to try to get the price down by offering a lower price than they tell you the goods are worth.

You can get a lot of goods here but you need to know how to shop in a touristy market. It's best to get a local to help you, but if you can't, try to at least cut their first offer in half. Know that this experience isn't the same as an actual medina because it's a newly-built place made to look like the old city. It is pretty and worth seeing.

Here you will find a tamed-down version of the Ancienne Medina. There are rows of shops and stalls filled with everything a tourist's heart could desire. Many, but not all, of the vendors speak some English, and they will pressure you to "see a magic box," try to get as high a price as you will fall for, and act disgusted if you don't accept their price. Check around to a few shops to get better ideas of pricing, or, if you have the benefit of a local's help, use them for guidance. This is close to the Royal Palace as well.
