honest, straightforward and pays homage to the bounty of the Lowcountry region we are so privileged to call home. Warm hues, soft lighting and an unexpected quirkiness encourage guests to settle in, get comfortable, and have a great time. The FIG experience is about more than just food. A sincere effort to educate our staff on all aspects of food and wine culture is the basis for our service philosophy. Our value-driven wine list features 100 bottles under $100. Our wines, like our food, are never static and change with the seasons.

Fig is a great place to eat if you can get a reservation ahead of time. It is not a place to just walk in to get a quick bite. Menu changes daily which makes it interesting. I gave a gift certificate to fig as a Christmas present as it is that special. You will not be disappointed

Food Is (Great)! Make a reservation far in advance, at least 3 weeks. We sat a small booth in the back of the restaurant, super cozy! Our main server was very attentive and another sever delivered our bottle of champagne to the table and was very knowledgable of wine. We started with Turkey Meatballs and Ricotta Gnocchi and Bolognese (both great but the gnocchi was amazing!). The wreck fish and pork rice bowl were the entrees we enjoyed.

FIG consistently tops the list of best restaurants in Charleston. They're one of the original farm-to-table establishments in the city and they place emphasis on serving fresh, local ingredients in every dish. Helpful Tip: If you don't have a reservation and want to avoid a lengthy wait, grab a seat at the bar where they also serve the full menu.

So do you think it unreasonable that I expected figs?

FIG means food is good. No figs. Good food.

Sat at community table as other tables reserved and full. Service was polished and friendly. We all got along but the table could have worked with separate groups not interacting much as well.

Charleston foodie expensive. Enjoyable evening tjough.

There are many great places to eat in the Holy City, but this may be my favorite.

I personally think Charleston has one of the best restaurant scenes in the country. FIG was our favorite among all of the amazing restaurants we went to in Charleston (check out Magnolias, SNOB, McCrady's, Cru...the coconut cake at Peninsula Grill). If you're a pork eater, try the suckling pig confit.
