Almost everywhere you turn in downtown Charleston is another beautiful building, restaurant, or even alley.

Downtown offers many options - shopping, great eating, sightseeing, etc. Take a carriage tour or just walk the battery and market. Either way, you will love Downtown Charleston - our personnel favorite is the battery! Grab a snack and drink at the rooftop of the Vendue Inn - beautiful views.

Pick one day to do downtown Charleston coupled with a restaurant. Uber. Or, make sure reservation is on early side as ride back to island is tree lined.

There is something for EVERYONE in your family. Walkable, see the painted ladies (houses) near The Battery. Hang out in the Waterfront Park where you kids can wade and splash in the fountain. Known for more fine food than you can imagine. Hubbies love military attractions. Women can shop.

Downtown Charleston is a 40 minute drive from Kiawah. Many fabulous restaurants and good shopping. You must stroll alone the Battery and thru the park. Great way to spend a entire day and plan to stay into the evening to enjoy one of the many 5 star restaurants.

Best streets to wander....King Street, for shops and restaurants. Best to see if you park on Mary Street across from the Visitor's Center, and walk up to King and hang a left. Go until Broad Street. Or alternatively: turn right on George and wander thru College of Charleston campus. Then back to King, down to Market street to see the City Market. All of this will take you 1-2 days.

I've always loved Charleston! The rich history envelopes you once you begin your journey down the cobblestone roads. You can tour colonial houses right on The Battery, experience the open air market, and enjoy fresh seafood caught that very day, among other fantastic activities.

King Street runs the length of the entire Charleston Peninsula. We are located near lower King Street, known for fine clothing, shoes, art, antiques, good restaurants and so much more. From Jacobson Building at 19 Broad, go West 2 blocks to King Street, where you will see Berlins Clothing as the first great store on the corner of King and Broad.

Walking distance to downtown where you will find four star restaurants, boutique stores, antique shops and beautiful historic neighborhoods. Enjoy relaxing or strolling on the waterfront or taking in theater and music performances. Charleston has received the NUMBER ONE ranking of ALL US destinations by Conde Naste Magazine.

Easy access to the Ravenel Bridge and downtown historic Charleston for fabulous shopping, dining, art galleries, museums, horse carriage tours, and local culture. Charleston, SC is one of the most fascinating cities in the world so plan to stay all day and into the evening for a ghost tour and nightlife scene on upper King Street.
