Location was perfect, walking distance to many places in downtown Chicago that we liked to see, Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park and Theatre District to name a few. The room was small but very neat, clean and cozy. We got a room with a view of the river.

An efficiently designed hotel that looks out onto the Chicago River, this Club Quarters branch is ideal for those who need to be able to access the business district in the Chicago Loop neighborhood. The lobby is small and minimal, and there is a small seating and waiting area near the elevator bank that offers some relief from the crowding at the entrance. A no-frills experience, but the hotel is clean and well-maintained, with updated amenities and basic necessities. There is a bar connected to the hotel lobby that also serves food.

This downtown spot offers luxury along with the exclusivity and privacy that some people deem essential. In order to score a room here, you’ll need to gain membership through one of the hotel’s corporate partners. You can ask your employer if they are one of them. Downstairs, a concierge or two greets guests, answering any questions and making sure no non-members or migrating geese find their way inside. The area is located between the nightlife-friendly River North, and the shopping- and business-centric Loop, offering plenty to do. The views of the Chicago River are pretty great, as well. If you’re looking to take a business partner out, try Morton’s across the street, and if you’re looking to experience some Chicago lore, hike on over to the Billy Goat.

First to Review

Right next to the Chicago River, this hotel offers a great location in the heart of Chicago's city center. Sitting outside of the connected Bella Bacino's restaurant, you get breathtaking views of the river and the Wrigley/Tribune towers across the way.

Electronic sign-in kiosks, which resemble those at airports across the globe, make registration a breeze, but there's still usually a group of friendly workers to help you if you need it.

The rooms are pretty small, but offer everything you need for a nice stay. The majority of people who stay at the hotel are business workers who don't need the extremities of an oversized room.

As a Club Quarters hotel, it used to be members-only so there is an exclusivity to the ambiance in the stately lobby area and marble floors, but everyone is so welcoming that any pretentiousness quickly dissolves.
