Don't be sketched out by the back alley entrance and wall of skulls as you walk downstairs into this mysterious speak-easy. It is one of Chicago's hidden gems. A tiki themed bar in the middle of downtown?! The drinks are more expensive, but are definitely stronger. This is the perfect pregame spot to start your night downtown.

Unbelievably cool bar and restaurant. You’ll have to look hard for the alley entrance. Dark when you go through the door and it gets cooler the further you go. It’s kind of a tiki bar meets Indiana Jones and the temple of doom.

Extremely overpriced but delicious! The food is good and so are the drinks. A very lowkey spot with a chill, sophisticated island bar atmosphere. Don't forget to enter through the alley!

You turn into a nondescript alley with no flashy signage. You head down a dim stairwell that's quiet and empty, and wonder where you're headed. The decor is decent, so it can't be shady, right? And then you enter the main room and your eyes light up with excitement. Love the decor!! It's fun and unexpected, themed and highly coordinated, simultaneously casual chic and party glam. The drinks are also yummm, but you're happy just to enjoy the ambiance. And instantly, you've found a new favorite place in Chicago. And it's still packed late, late at night.

Pricy but delicious drinks. It's a cool speakeasy with an island flare. An impressive date spot or just for a fun night out.

I am definitely someone who loves to pretend they are somewhere warm and tropical when those nasty winters seems to drag on forever with no end in sight. This is your place! Tiki bars are so much fun and this one takes the cake. The entire place is decked out in Hawaiian themed decor, and the waitresses and bartenders all dress the part as well - they didn't miss anything as far as keeping the theme. The drinks come in really fun, custom glasses and mugs, which vary depending on which drink you order. I love it for a date night or small group outing, especially if you can get a booth. I definitely recommend a reservation if you can get one. We didn't have one the first time and there was 6 of us, so we were constantly being pushed around and it was hard to talk to each other as a group. Not the cheapest place, but its REALLY fun if you are looking for something different or a change of scenery.

This is a cute tiki spot you have to access from the alley. The drinks are great but the service can be kinda slow.

Chicago winters can be long and rough, but head over to Three Dots and a Dash in River North if you're ever feeling like a brief tropical getaway. Decorated like an island grotto, this subterranean cocktail bar is a tiki paradise. Opened and operated by award-winning mixologist Paul McGee, the drink menu is stocked with rum-based beverages that taste as fun as their names sound. No detail was overlooked in the decoration of the space, and everything down to the glasses is in line with the tiki theme (the glasses are custom made and available for purchase). The food menu is brief but features tasty Asian appetizers that can be shared. Escape the urban winter blues with a trip to this exotic bar, but beware-- the drinks are stronger than they taste!

Do not miss this place if you are visiting. I am a huge fan of Tiki themed bars, and this one is my favorite in Chicago.

The crab rangoon and pineapple guacamole were a big hit for us. We tried the Painkiller rum beverage and the classic Three Dots and a Dash. Well worth the price for these delicious drinks. I'm always a fan of something I cannot possibly make at home as well as a restaurant can, and this is definitely one of those spots!

Fun place to try for a nice hawaiian drink. For some reason, it reminds me of a place Don Draper would go to on Mad Men. 60s Hawaii feel.

This place is so much fun! Friday nights are the best nights to go. I love the tiki theme that place has going. I just really enjoy the novelty of it all. All drinks come in these special cups and glasses. The drinks are creative and fun with their garnishments. For example one drink has a tiki cup and uses a banana and makes it as a dolphin! The specialty cups are for $13 if you really want a souvenir
