sun sets. When the Great Chicago Fire burned down much of the downtown area in 1871, architects and engineers received a tabula rasa to fill with their imagination. Now you can see the result, from the Sears tower to the Lake Point Tower. When you visit, you may even find more buildings under construction.

Each time I come to the city the skyline always takes my breath away. I love looking at it, it's almost as if it has a life of its own.

An amazing view filled with very touristy guides, but overall. , a great experience anyone visiting or anyone from Chicago must go and see. Going during the day and going at night are two competently different beasts too

Chicago has a great skyline and there are many locations to check it out from! The lake front train has numerous vistas of our skyline. My favorite location is out on the Planetarium peninsula.

For the city that built the world's first skyscraper, one shouldn't expect anything else than an impressive skyline of varied heights and façades, all with their own stories to tell. The skyline is great no matter what time of day, but I think I like it better at night.

The most absolutely beautiful skyline in the US. Amazing views of Chicago's most historical buildings, rich in history.

I can very biased-ly say that it is the best in the world, but not as biased say that it is top 10. Our skyline is truly stunning, so enjoy it from up high, on the water, or wherever you can when you come to town

I'm always partial to my home city of Boston, but Chicago's many sky-high buildings make this skyline something special. The skyline is filled with historic buildings from art deco to modern design with varying heights. And it's always changing!

One of the most recognizable skylines in the country, and a great place to view it from is from the area by the Field Museum.

You will be surrounded by it when staying at my place - it's breathtaking. Best view and for feeling like you've "arrived" in Chicago is a drive along the LSD (Lake Shore Drive).

What a stunning view! Although not as popular as New York, it's a sight you'll never forget. Pictures cannot do this view justice. A must-see in person.

Even this New Yorker admits that Chicago has a pretty amazing skyline. It's especially stunning at night, when the lights reflect off Lake Michigan as you fly into the city.

Take a stroll and see the best view at sunset along Lake Shore Drive, or from inside the skyline at Millennium Park. There are too many Great views to put into one review.

One of the most stunning urban skylines on Earth. Rivals NY even if it doesn't quite win.

The best skyline in the world. My favorite views are at the Museum Campus by Adler Planetarium or from Grant Park.
