It's not your typical fountain. Like the rest of Millennium Park, it likes to make a statement.

Had a lot of fun watching children splashing around in this fountain on a very hot evening. They all seem to know when it gets ready to spit water out of the mouth and they run toward it to try to get splashed.

Taking a stroll through Millennium Park is a must when in Chicago. It's an awesome park with very cool pieces of public art including Crown Fountain, which features two towers facing each other that display scenery along with the faces of locals, with a reflecting pool between them. It's interactive and playful. The faces displayed occasionally come to life and spit water out at you. On a hot day, you'll see plenty of families playing in the fountain.

This was surprisingly fun to roam around this. Who doesn't love a giant light-up water fountain...not just one but TWO water fountains.

This is a fun fountain in Millennium Park right along Michigan Avenue. There are two brick fountains on either side of the area which will display a slow video of a face. Every so often, the lips will open and a stream of water will erupt, giving the illusion that the face is spitting on the people underneath.

A must see for visitors and kids love it but be aware if you have littles this is not gated in and there are multiple exists - a one adult to toddler ratio is required!

This fun interactive fountain can be found in Chicago's Millennium Park. Consisting of two towers with faces that will occasionally "spit" water on those that choose to frolic in the fountain. A perfect way to spend a hot Chicago day. Be sure to bring a change of clothes and your camera!

Pretty creepy but unique fountain with two fifty feet tall glass buildings facing each other. The blocks resembles the Chicago buildings with faces displayed in motion. Heard their faces are the locals in Chicago.
During a sunny day they blocks literally spits out water and the kids go nuts playing in them. When I mean literally, the water pours out of the mouth when the face makes the ooooooo mouth.

The building is located in downtown and not that far from the bean.

Unfortunately we didn't see the water works because it was February. We still had a blast taking photos with them late at night when no one was around.

This multimedia fountain and waterplay sculpture is simply amazing. Fifty-foot high monolithic projected faces of real people spurt playful fountains of water where kids and adults frolic in the shower. The faces are videos that show the people smiling, blinking and puckering up to spurt. This interactive fountain was designed by Jaume Piensa. The water feature is turned off for the winter. Whether you like it, think it's art, or not, it's a trip.

Crown Fountain, a piece of interactive art video sculpture by Jaume Plensa is filled with water, lights and children of all ages splashing and cooling themselves on a hot summer day. A piece in the beginning, that was resisted and disliked by many locals has become dear to our hearts, as one cannot resist the joy and laughter this Fountain brings to many children.

The Crown Fountain is part art installation and part water park. Kids folic in the shallow pool as the art spits water at them. It's busy during the hot Chicago summer days.

Cool fountain/video installation that is inside Millennium Park. We went on a hot day and it was really cute to see all these kids having a blast in the water.

Crown Fountain is the bomb dot com. In the winter, the pillars show a variety of winter scenes and lights. In the summer... it's an urban beach. Water falls over and out of the pillars and the kids dance with delight in the shallow pool of water. Kids of ALL ages MUST take their shoes off and run through the water. Absolutely MUST.

Free water fun downtown. Looks like a great place for kids on a hot summer day. Projections of Chicago citizen faces makes this place a neat attraction.
