Great spot to eat and chill. Live music nightly. Get the shrimp and grits or the voodoo shrimp. Bread pudding for dessert. Kayla the manager was awesome and so was Anthony the server. Great experience. Always come by when I'm in town.

Tuesday is Comedy Night at the House of Blues Foundation Room at 7 & 9pm. A lot of great Chicago talent take the stage. Great live music concerts and nightly live entertainment in the restaurant.

Great atmosphere at this restaurant and concert venue. There is something for everyone on the menu and listening to live Blues music while dining is a perk. The barbecue pulled pork is outstanding. And the burgers are great too.

Located next to the Chicago River, House Of Blues has a few options…You can even join as a member, most people however come for the concerts upstairs in this small venue. There's a restaurant on the first level as well.

Great venue for all forms of music. One of the best venues in the center of the city.

Packed in like sardines, this Lincoln Park haven is full of tourists looking to get a local taste of Chicago's famous blues scene. $10 at the door for most weekends will let you in but arrive early to find a good seat. I definitely prefer a few other blues bars in the city, Lee's Unleaded, Rosas and also Kingston Mines.

The House of Blues I was visiting was located in the Midway Airport terminal in Chicago.

Fun cozy venue. Not a bad seat anywhere. The crowd can be rude and pushy, depending on the show. Fun Sunday Gospel Brunch.

Crowded, touristy, and unappealling, but a lot of great acts come through here. Bring some ear plugs.

The oldest Blues Bar in the world with music 365 days a year since it opened in 1979! Get close and personal with the music!!

This was such a great experience! The Sunday Gospel Brunch was wonderful. The food was incredible and the music was awesome. Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Chicago!

Doesn't attract the caliber of acts that regularly play at Kingston Mines, but this sister bar across the street has some hidden gems depending on what night you go. Also, if you pay cover on Sunday night you get into Kingston Mines for free, too. Pretty sweet deal.

I thought it was a let down. I thought the drinks were over priced and the atmosphere was fair at best

Great place to see any number of artists. It's historic Chicago nestled downtown by the famous Marina Towers. Many shows are standing room only, so be aware that you'll be on your feet. But if you're seeing someone good, you were going to be on your feet anyway!

I like this place because it shows love to locals. Tuesdays people who live in the neighborhood get in for free! The blues and music here is really good so if you want a place to listen to some good music in an unpretentious setting then this is the spot. Drinks are really well priced too!

I LOVE this place. I've seen many shows at the house of blues in los angeles and have always loved it, but being at this one (I believe it's the original) was awesome.
