History buffs will love visiting the USS Lexington. We didn't have a ton of time, so we were only able to visit the flight deck. So that was really cool because they have a ton of old planes on there. Plus, just seeing the view from up there is really beautiful!

Liked how they have kept the lower floors of the ship the way it was way back when it was operational. Deck 4 gives a feel of the days of the sailors from then. This ship also maintains a good collections combat planes on the top deck. Good museum if you like engineering, air crafts and history.

The Japanese reported LEXINGTON sunk no less than four times! Yet, each time she returned to fight again, leading the propagandist Tokyo Rose to nickname her “The Blue Ghost.” The name is a tribute to the ship and the crew and air groups that served aboard her.The USS LEXINGTON is open year-round seven days a week for touring and special events. We are closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving days. Convenient all day parking is available for $3.50 and is free for Members. Go to usslexington.com to find coupons

This place is a huge letdown. They charge to get in, it's an antiquated 'museum' that reeks of mold and rust. It hasn't been updated since the 80s, it's really hot in the summer and both times I've taken kids there they've had more fun playing in the sand on the beach below it than in it. Don't waste your money.
