This is a great pity, because ... Read more
"Dar", as it is lovingly called by aficionados of the city, is a fascinating rabbit warren of a tropical port, often surprising the wanderer with scenes of breathtaking beauty - and there is something irresistible about whiling away a few hours sitting at the water's edge, watching dhows slipping skilfully under the bows of huge cruise liners and cargo ships.

Dar es Salam is super cheap and the people are so nice. I strongly recommend you to hike through Kilimanjaro; the highest peak in Africa and check out the downtown.

Why i love spending time in Dar.
1. The best beer in the world
2. No corruption what so ever.
3. The fried meat.
4. The friendliest people of all africa.
The downside can be that not to many people speak english. But after 5 beers i don`t seem to care to much about the languagebarrier :). Tanzanian officials really helps you if you have some problems. Unlike one of their neighboring countries.

Something different ;)
