I went here for a couple of Delmar festival and I had an excellent time the fairgrounds are the cleanest of any music festivals I've ever been to.

I love attending the Del Mar Fair, er, I mean the San Diego County Fair! Lots to see and do. The fair grounds are very accessible and organized- but know that there is a parking fee of $13 cash. (Local city lots take cards, but charge $15.)

Enjoy the day exploring the fairgrounds while feeling a cool ocean breeze! If you go on the Ferris wheel you can get a view of the sea.

Don't forget to visit the animals, and stop by the multiple food vendors as well.

The races are always fun to go to, and have special food events or family days. When the races aren't there, though, you can still go get your horse-fix and go to a show in the Del Mar Arena there. Many of the shows are free to go watch, and this location also hosts nation-wide, high-level shows that you can go to. Very upscale and fun to do now and then!

You can almost hear the echo of Bing Crosby and other legendary crooners as you hit the the Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds. So much going on at all times if the year. Awesome open air, big name concerts during the summer after the races too. And since its situated right off Jimmy Durante Blvd. you have to leave saying "Hot cha cha."

Del Mar race track is the premier horse track in California for on and off track betting. Don't miss opening day at the races not only for the excitement but you'll get to experience crazy hat day.
The San Diego County Fair begins mid June and continues to the 4th of July. It's great fun for family and friends.

Always a fun time wagering on the ponies and check out the Friday outdoor concert line-up... They always have great acts! (Plus it's free with race admission!) Don't forget to bet on the 10 cent superfecta box bet to win big!

I had a great time here. A sea of cool people appreciating the reggae vibe. Even Hippies from the 60's were In attendance. A melting pot of different cultures which is what San Diego is all about. This is my second year here, I recommend it to everyone over 18:-)

We have came down to the races and the summer concert series, and honestly I have to say I was not to impressed. The prices are a little outrageous, the beer is $10 cup and the food is equally as pricy. The nice thing however is that you are aloud to bring a panic. This is a San Diego staple but be warned it can end up being very expensive.

Perhaps the most nostalgic horse track in the US. Races begin in July end in Sept. The Lake House is about 15min scenic cruse. Have a great day at the races.

As soon as the fair is over on July 5 it is time for Del Mar to get ready for the races! You can spend a wonderful afternoon here making $2 bets on nine horse races. You won't get rich, but it is a lot of fun to cheer on your favorite horse. People watching is a lot of fun too, especially on opening day when everyone is wearing fantastic hats.

Beautifully located along the Pacific Ocean in Del Mar, CA. Enjoy a fun day at the track and get a close up look at the beautiful horses in the Paddock. Take the coaster directly to the track and enjoy your day even more without having to worry about driving or parking.

Fun way to spend your day! Betting on the ponies! If your here for opening day, be sure to wear your coolest hat for hat day. End your day with a hand shaken margarita at the Del Mar Brigantine restaurant right next door.

Lot's of fun at the horse races every summer.

If you have the kids sit in the midfield because there are more activities and more spaces to run around. If you are with the adults I would go to the Club House or the Turf Club

Upscale race track. World famous "Where the Turf meets the Surf". You can take the train over and then a free shuttle bus will take you right to the track I believe. I know for the Fair they definitely do. Also check out the world famous Del Mar Fair when it's Fair Season.
