Great service and amenities are what are to be expected when staying at a Four Seasons, this one was no exception. Very attentive and helpful staff. A great valet staff as we were there for a few days and took our rental car out frequently. The staff always had the car waiting with bottled water, a great touch.

On the very short list of the finest hotels in Denver. Ever since I spent a weekend at the Four Seasons in Vail (thank you Gogobot!) I'm a convert to this chain. If a night at the Vail Property was like staying in the most luxurious mountain lodge one could imagine, the Denver hotel would be more like a very comfortable modern art museum. The mix of stone and masonry, the fabrics, the artwork and furnishings all seem to be chosen by someone with the eye of a curator. The view of downtown and the Rocky Mountain Beyond, while, of course, fight to steal your gaze away.

The Four Seasons is one of those places that oozes wealth--a stunning property straight out of Architectural Digest. The lobby is sleek in a modern art museum sort of way, with original artwork gracing the area, huge picture windows, and deep leather chairs to set it all off. It leads seamlessly into the dark paneled bar and further still, to a posh restaurant that makes you wish it was dinnertime and someone else was buying. Upstairs, the rooms are no less impressive. Inviting, with a hint of mid-century mod, they have great views, a spacious jack and jill bathroom and all the standard high-end amenities you’d expect and then some (a built-in TV in the bathroom mirror, sinks that glow so you don’t have to turn on the overheads to use the loo at night, etc.). It knocked my socks off. My only reservation is the staff. Very capable, yes. And kinda snotty. I’m a firm believer that wealth shouldn’t equate snobbery, but this crew evidently had a different take on the subject. I’m hoping it was just a fluke. (It certainly wouldn’t stop me from staying here!)

Attended a ballroom event here this week. A very nice lobby, common areas and ballroom space. Valet service was also quick and courteous. This is a great central location in downtown with access to the theatre district.

Well, I can stop looking for Denver’s top hotel: the Four Seasons is truly a cut above the rest, and that includes heavy-hitters like the Ritz and the J.W. Marriott; the Westin is in the same ballpark, at least. The rooms are spectacular: deep luxurious beds, classy furniture and stunning mountain views. Even the bathrooms are over the top: gracefully arched faucets, deep bathtubs, separate all-glass showers, even a TV built into the mirror and his-and-hers sinks that light up from within (not exactly sure how or why, but still cool). The hotel restaurant is beautiful and considered one of Denver’s best for wine and steaks, though service can be uneven, whether slow or uppity or both. Actually, I’d say that’s a fair critique of the hotel in general, and really my only complaint: service ought to be absolutely impeccable, but a certain number of employees apparently have let the Four Seasons aura go to their heads. That’s annoying anywhere, but especially in down-home Denver.
