Gorgeous historic hotel. I've yet to have the pleasure of staying here but it's definitely worth visiting. Lots of history in the place.

Pleasing fashionable epicureans since 1892, the Brown Palace is home to some of the best casual and fine dining in Denver. From champagne brunch to afternoon tea with real Devonshire cream shipped directly from England, there is no better location for discovering rare treats. Stay in luxury suites and benefit from premier concierge service or enjoy special treatment at the spa.

Not only are the accommodations spectacular in this hotel, but the restaurant is great also. They do high tea every year for the holidays. That's always fun.

Probably the most high end hotel in Denver. It might be a splurge, but the themed rooms make this place special.

One of the better hotels downtown. Nice rooms, though the place is nothing stellar. Very cool history, though.

This palace doesn’t just pretend to be fit for royalty; it has hosted them, along with presidents, diplomats, and other high ranking folks. I love the high ceiling and the historical detail here. The customer service is amazing and they make every effort to take care of guests. Make sure to attend afternoon tea time in the main lobby for tea and scones, complete with Devonshire cream from London. There is a spa in-house if you want to get pampered after. Then, dress to the nines for a dinner at Ellyngton’s on the main floor. If you’re a history buff, be sure to get in on one of the tours of the property. I love the ghost and architectural tours, but hope to indulge my scandalous side with the Affairs of the Heart Tour on my next visit.

Great classic railroad hotel with restaurants that can do amazing prime rib. Beautiful interior, excellent service, a real treat! Probably the best brunch in Denver at Ellyngton's.

A historic treasure. Built in 1892, and one of the oldest hotels in Denver...in fact I think its the 2nd oldest hotel in Denver. Entirely elegant, and near the heart of downtown Denver. Winter time is among my favorite times to visit, as the holiday lights/decorations are beautiful.

This adorable boutique hotel is so quirky they harvest their own beehives on the roof just so their honey is that fresh.

This is the best hotel in the Rocky Mountain city cartgory. I've stayed here several times over the years (including my honeymoon 1n 1971!) and it is the GRAND hotel of the Mountains. ot far from downtown Denver, this is a newly remodeled Golden Era luxury hotel. A wonderful lobby has a great news stand and a fascinating seafood seafood bar, set up like a Glouchesyer Massachusetts waterfront pub. There's no water outside but the hand-blown glass windows create a wonderful illusion. Decor and rooms are big and stocked with elegant European antique furniture, such as the gold-rich miners bought for their Western digs. Throughout the hotel you are happy to experience the opulence and hoy-polloy style of the Colorado Gold Rush. There is a very good hotel dining room and service is generally good as many employees havespent their careers at this same establishment. The concierge department is clever and responsive and can get you tickets for a show or a county rodeo. Many day tours to placs like Estes National Park, Boulder, Pike's Peak and innumeralbe other destinations involving, Indians, cowboys, natural wonders and modern technology. It's also a business man's hotel and the various public rooms are often crowded with ranchers and lobbyists; fun to see them in their wild-west business clothes and cowboy hats (that they wear indoors) It's the only 4* I'd use in Denver.

This is a beautiful old hotel in the heart of Downtown Denver. My grandfather told me that he and his father both used to stay here when they were in Denver on business, so I visited while I was in town recently. It's worth just a walk through the lobby, even if you don't eat a meal or explore further.

If you are looking for a special experience in the heart of downtown this is it. The Brown has been wonderfully restored to the height of victorian elegance with modern amenities (inculding a spa and fitness center) discreetly worked in.
They have a great afternoon tea and several top restaurants right in the building.

Denver's most historic hotel, it has an actual historian on staff. If you don't stay here, you can take a tour of the hotel Wed and Sat at 3pm, but try to come in October when they do ghost tours. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the city, and the rooms are historic without being stuffy.
