Huge! You need a full day. While you are exploring the Museum take time to catch the breathtaking view of the mountains as you overlook City Park.

Simply one of the finest museums in the U.S. Years ago we brought our sons here when visiting from Kansas; now we are members. With great traveling exhibitions, a full-fledged research staff renowned for their groundbreaking work in paleontology, a variety of natural history exhibits unparalleled in a 1,000 mile radius, this museum is not to be missed.

Denver has one of the best old school nature museums I've ever been to. There is always a traveling exhibit on display, also.

I brought my nieces and nephews here. Great exhibits on animals, dinosaurs, space and more. The rock and gem exhibits were a real highlight--naturally for Colorado. The views from the grounds are another perk.

Must see, it's a great museum to all ages! I'm not a big fan of museums but this one was really good, make sure you have at least 3 hours to see the entire place.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is a must do if you live in or visit the Denver area. There are three floors of spectacular exhibits that are engaging, educational, and interactive. With the museum's exhibits, planetarium and IMAX, there is something for all ages. I would be difficult to see everything the museum has to offer in single day, so you should allow for a minimum of four to six hours to be able to see and enjoy this museum. The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is by far one of the best museums I have visited, second only to the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.

Cost of admission to the museum for Adults - $13; Seniors (Ages 65+) - $10; Junior (Ages 3-18) - $8; Children 2 and Under - FREE. There is an additional charge for admission to the planetarium and IMAX.

If you live in the Denver area, the museum offers free days about once a month. Check on the web for when these days are offered.

Students with an ID receive 10% off general admission adult tickets. This discount does not apply to member ticket prices.

All active duty, retired, reservist, and national guard members of the military will receive free Museum admission upon presenting a valid military ID at the time of purchase. Additionally, the Museum offers a 50%

It may seem dry from the outward appearance, but walk inside this building and you'll be stunned by all the options your family will have to explore in the vibrant, interactive rooms. Interested in space? There have been whole rooms dedicated to that. You’ll find rooms showcasing health, dinosaurs, rocks and gems, mummies and more. If you have time, check out an IMAX movie.

Attended a private function here at night. The planetarium show was very good, and they also had an interesting exhibit on MythBusters.

One of my favourite haunts in Denver as a kid. Great exhibits if a bit old fashioned now. Also has IMAX and a planetarium and a great minerals collection.

While growing up in Colorado, I spent many childhood days here, and had to return with the kids when we were in town. It did not disappoint! There is far too much to see and do in one day, all of the exhibits are fabulous, and many hands on activities for the young (and old!)

We have a membership to DMNS and try to go every few months. There is always something fun to do and see. Most recently they have added the T Rex exhibit that is really great. My 9-yr old son loved the animatronic dinosaurs.
