Description
Los Glaciares National Park is revered for its natural beauty and looming glaciers. Home to the largest ice field outside of Antarctica, this World Heritage Site is not for the faint of heart.

Parque Nacional Los Glaciares actually expands beyond Perito Moreno Glacier and El Calafate, to include also Upsala and Viedma Glacier, as well as El Chaltén.
Anyway, if you are in El Calafate, you'll probably go to this National Park to visit Perito Moreno Glacier. You must travel 30 minutes more or less on a paved road to get there (several bus tours depart hourly) and pay a fee to get in.

Prepare yourself for jaw-dropping scenery and plenty of photo opportunities.

It's hard to separate the national park from the glacier itself (which you should definitely walk on, absolutely worth it), but I'll try. What to say? Well first, hiking trails are adjacent to the glacier, which provides great vantage points (a plus for photographers). The trail itself is well maintained, and boasts hilarious/confusing/slightly worrying "beware of puma" signs. Other than that, there isn't much to say, beyond what's already been said about the glacier itself (check out that review for more information).

Big ice is the way to go here. 7hrs of treking but some amazing photographic opportunities.

The glaciers here are unreal and the wooded landscapes are beautiful. Lots of outfitters offer day trips to or around the glaciers, but exploring on your own would be great too. (though you should go with a group onto the glaciers, unless you are an experienced trekker!)

Los Glaciares National Park is the main attraction of Patagonia and one of the main tourist spots in our country. The reason: the imposing Perito Moreno Glacier. It is located a few kilometers from the city of El Calafate. Los Glaciares National Park is considered a "World Heritage Site" and is, without a doubt, a place to be known once in a lifetime. There are different ways and excursions to explore the national park. I recommend that you choose the one that best suits your needs, tastes and budget.
