This city of nearly one tenth of a million residents got its unique name during the construction of Federal Highway US99. This major connecting roadway caused this once sleepy logging camp to explode into the bustling city it is today. I've lived in Fed. for nearly ten years now. Overall it's a nice suburbs area to raise a family. There isn't a whole lot of entertainment around for the young crowd, though it's close enough to Seattle that if you're ever in the mood for a great night out you won't have a long drive ahead of you to get down there.

Federal Way is a small community located south of Seattle. It's an alright place to raise a family, but overall has a strange vibe to it. It feels like it's the suburban area to another city, rather than a city itself.
