Historic city with dense Médina experienced. Packed with tanneries, mosques, and shop folk, Fes will not disappoint if you’re looking for an authentic Moroccan experience.

Great family holiday in Morocco
I booked with Begaa Tours as i wanted to make our trip easy and memorable, We were travelling with our two young daughters the tour lived up to our expectations. We had 8 nights in total with BT we travel to Chefchaouen which we totally loved and was great for my children as it was an easy Medina with some great shopping. Then to Fes the largest pedestrian area in the world, We loved the day with the guide and learned so much and made it interesting for my girls. Travelling through the country side to the desert Ahmed always made it interesting for the girls stopping at markets and even got a donkey and cart ride in the country side.

The camel trek and the desert camp was a great experience we all loved the camels and snow boarding down the sand dunes, the camp was well equipped. We loved the thought of walking where Gladiator was filmed in the Kasbah of Ben Ait Haddou, with its amazing views from the top looking over the valley.

Ahmed organised a a tour around Marrakech for us which we were thankful for rather than wasting time, we got to see all the highlights.

I recommend Begaa Tours for an easy, hassle free tour

New York City

It has been years since I was in Fes, but when I was there I found this city more captivating than any other in Morocco. One of the original four Imperial Cities, now its second largest city, the place you want to head is the medina (the old quarter) Fes is blessed with two medinas, but the one that is most colorful and famous is Fes el Bali; a maze-like area of narrow alley ways jam packed with people, animals, cafes, mosques. It is a place that can assault the senses and can be somewhat of a "cultural shock" to those coming from US or Europe. But is is so colorfu, so much energy. Be careful though of pick-pockets and be aware that you will be hassled by everyone trying to "sell" you things - but, hey, this is part of the special experience that is Fes.

My husband and I received a recommendation to travel with Mohamed, and we were so happy we followed through. Mohamed designed a trip to our budget, and was responsible for every meal, bottle of water, bathroom break and the pacing of interesting days. We had a wonderful time---simple hiking days combined with gorgeous drives and excursions. We ate food prepared for us at home, in restaurants and local road houses. Everything went perfectly. Mohamed was kind and thoughtful, organized. He had integrity and was companionable. We really miss him and gorgeous Morocco.
Our favorite days were visiting a nomad family (they aren't always where you hope they will be), and visiting the village where "Gladiator" was filmed. We arrived in the village at sunset, with the panorama glowing pink. The Rose Valley was also wonderful. My surprise birthday party, organized by Mohamed, complete with a dozen local drummers and a french-style birthday cake was worthy of a head of a small state.
I cannot recommend traveling with www.Morocco-Culture-Tours.com enough.

welcome with sahara-magic,com

Fes is an amazing place. The medina is a treasure--there is nowhere like it in the world. I could wander there for years, probably. The great thing about it is that it's still all foot and donkey traffic--the hills and stairs make it impossible to get into the heart of it with a motorbike or car (unlike in Marrakech--argh), so all your hear is the pad of feet and hooves. And the ville nouvelle--the colonial-built city up the hill--is pleasant as well, with great sidewalk cafes and broad avenues.

Marrakech, Marrakesh

Fes is heir to the Andalusian culture and is the cradle of the former Sharif Empire. The city is divided in three parts: the new town (of no great interest), the middle-town, built in the 13th century by the Merinides, and the old town. Travelers must lose themselves in the medina, stop by the museum Dar-Batha, a museum of popular art, and the Medersa Bou-Inania, the Coranic school, or the Qaraouiyin Mosque, founded in the 9th century. The Nejjarine Wood Arts and Crafts Museum also deserves a visit!! we can take care about your accommodations, transports, and desert camps when you are in Morocco!! morocco.attractions@gmail.com
