Unique Dali artwork collection in a museum that is art in itself. Recommend putting in 1€ in the car to make it rain inside!

Brilliantly crazy for the non art buffs, intensely illuminating for Dalí fans. Second most visited museum in Spain - you've just got to go. Night tours with complementary glass of cava during August. Avoid the queues, get there early, don't miss the jewellery section - free entry with your ticket once you leave the main theatre museum.

Dali's incredibly creative arrange of works is a wonderful sight to behold. The only complaint I have is that it is extremely crowded!

A must, also very nice for children to visit. Come early, in high season long waiting cues, Sunday's early mostly more quiet

This is a nice day trip from Barcelona even if you are not into art. The museum buildings are built in his style and the town is very walkable. This museum is well worth seeing. We took the bus into town from the train station but walked back.

The Salvador Dali Museum is technically not in Barcelona, but in neighboring Figueres, but that's hardly a reason to have come all this way and drop the ball. The train ride from Barcelona to Figueres takes just over an hour, and there are few things more romantic than the sites of Spain flying by through big train windows. Dali hailed from Figueres, hence the unusual location, and his community has done him proud. The museum contains an enormous collection of his work, and the building itself will have architecture lovers lit up with excitement. For what its worth, while Dali was married to a woman, rumors of his love affairs with men persist to this day.

Like all Dali's work this museum is extraordinarily unique! There are big halls an pieces that can be seen from various perspectives. A fabulous collection of Dali's work including pieces done about Figueres (the town where the museum is located only a short trip outside Barcelona).

Baggage Storage: They have a baggage check at the museum and they require you to check luggage and backpacks at the entrance (for free), so if you are thinking of stopping in Figueres to see the museum on route you won't have to worry about lugging your bags around with you or having to pay to store them.

OH! IMPORTANT TO NOTE: It is only open on Monday's during the summer and on holidays!!!

Surrealism is imagination made manifest, and nowhere is Dalí’s mind riper than his hometown museum, decorated like a red castle with giant eggs and bread rolls. Inside, a large collection of 4,000 works are on show, including Face of Mae West Which Can Be Used as an Apartment (a room that resembles the actress when viewed from a specific angle) and a 1941 car supposedly owned by Al Capone; insert a coin and it rains on the two mannequins inside. Closer to home, Florida's new Dalí Museum also captures the spirit of the artist—a bubble made up of 1,062 triangular pieces of glass bulges out of a raw concrete box—and offers child-centric activities such as Breakfast with Dalí for Families.

Even if you are not a fan of Salvador Dali and his artwork, you still should visit this museum. You will be amazed to see this bizarre place and its content. It’s not your typical visit to a museum – it’s an experience you won’t forget.

If you enjoy Art and are a fan of Dali I highly recommend a day trip here. I took one that included Girona. There is also a museum of his works in Barcelona that I would go to as well...but like Dali...this place was crazy wild...it's a must see

There's nothing quite like seeing the master in his lair or his surrealistic paintings come to life. Even if you only have a mild interest in this art movement and the genius who was Salvador Dali, you'll enjoy this excursion into the recesses of his brilliant mind. Well worth a stop over in Figueres and easily doable as a day trip from Barcelona.

I'm not a fan of Dali's work especially, but I am a fan of his dedication. Fascinating look into the surrealist's life.

Dali Museum is an awesome place to visit. There are a few floors with various rooms of paintings, sculptures, "3D displays", jewelry, and more. My favorite is the Dali Joile Museum next door. He was just amazingly talented and designed jewelry to incorporate his artwork. Dali Museum & Jewelry Collection are not to be missed.
