The Gulfarium Marine Park has all kinds of sea and beach life on display. The dolphin and sea lion shows are informative and fun! The nice thing about the location is that you can have your hand stamped, leave the park for lunch or a break, and then return. Since the park is so close to the condo, no problem if you have a child that needs a quick nap!

This is a place that kids would enjoy. However there are a few things I didn't like. In the exhibits that were behind glass, the glass was very dirty. There are no volunteer docents to answer questions. The whole place just seemed sad and run down.

Fun spot especially for the younger kids, they run the dolphin show rain or shine!

This may be a little farther down the road, but is well worth the trip if you have aqua curious family. Travel west on HWY 98 back to Okaloosa Island. This Gulfarium offers fun shows, educational opportunities and tons of entertainment for Aquatic Wildlife.

Americas second oldest marine park (1955), it hosts Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, California sea lions, Peruvian penguins, Ridley turtles and more in 14 fascinating Gulf-edged exhibits. Dolphin stars Princess and Delilah delight with feats from comedic soccer games to 18-foot (540cm) leaps toward the clouds.

This is a great place for an outing while you are in the area. It is about 20 minutes from Our House By the Sea. We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal in the event room. The staff is wonderful and the viewing tanks and information about dolphins and other marine life is very interesting. I suggest going here prior to taking the evening dolphin viewing cruises that are available. Having viewed these wonderful animals up close and then seeing them in the sea is truly memorable.
